I was working with a partner on drafting a brief, who hated the way I wrote it, made me drastically change everything, increase the word count and spill my blood, sweat, and tears for months into editing it. Just before filing a different partner took a hand at cutting it down because it was too long - and he edited the brief back to the way I wrote it originally 🤦🏽‍♀️ Sometimes this job is an absolute joke.

Tips for returning to work post-sickness? Whole family has been juggling RSV, flu, and Covid for awhile and I’m trying to get back to work and feel a lot of anxiety about it. What’s the biggest business challenge your firms ever faced? At my firm, the new managing partner (4yrs in) is really reluctant to curtail their law practice and focus on operations. Our budgets are always late. Our new hire candidates ghost us. Our accounts receivables account is empty. We are set for trial on cases where we never received the order or got our bearings.
