Got an offer to move to another B4 strategy practice with a title & pay bump (15%). However, most of the work is in an industry I hated working in (financial services). Is it worth making the jump for a year if the ultimate goal is FAANG?
What are typical hourly billable rates from Big 4 for external audit services by role in New York or California?
How much do partners really make at Big 4 and MBB. Let's say the first year being a partner ?
Is Deloitte the only Big 4 to do one promotion a year? If you miss your chance , you have to wait a year instead of the 6 months at other firms?
Potentially moving to a competitor (Big 4). My field is busy right now/high in demand. What numbers should I be looking for/expecting for a first year manager in terms of signing bonus? My current firm is holding a $23k bonus over my head until April. I’m leaning towards it not being worth moving in until after that/post Covid unless they can get close to that on a signing bonus and push my base up at least 25%.
Hi Tax Bowlers, I'm an experienced associate (2yrs) in a Big 4 Transfer Pricing division. I have reached a point in my career where I am considering taking up a professional certification. Several colleagues recommended taking up either ACCA or CFA, however, I see little connection between these certifications and the work that I am currently doing, and what I plan to do in the future. What would you guys suggest? Would it be detrimental to my career if I did not take up any certifications?
What’s leading practice salary negotiation when doing a lateral across Big 4 firms? Sr Manager level.
Would you move from D to other Big 4 with only 20k raise (115 -> 135k)? Assuming you need to restart GC process from scratch a year after joining
Bschool to MBB, or stay at Big 4?
When do you have to give notice if you’re going to another Big 4? No later than once you’ve formally accepted your offer? Not sure what’s required so appreciate the insight (can’t ask HR without giving myself away!)
Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls
Thoughts on leaving audit right now for transaction due diligence at another Big 4 firm in NYC?

What is the legal ratio of adults:students in an ECSE inclusion setting? In a reverse mainstream setting? Are Title I PreK classrooms required to have a para and teacher? What is the ratio for that? What is the legal ratio of adults:students in a mixed 4 y/o PreK setting? (#___ SPED+ #___regular=1 teacher and ____paras) Specifically in Louisiana, but curious about other states, as well!
One more week of vacation to book before the Q4 rush ... preferably out of the country. Any good suggestions? We like "off the beaten path" non-touristy vibes.

I’m relatively new at my company, and I have a business person (whom I have already worked on a project with) that won’t respond to me. I sent a few emails to her over the last 3 weeks, then messaged her on teams on Monday without response. I really need her help. Any advice outside of cc’ing the supervisor (or maybe that’s the only advice)?
Does anyone here hold a non-CFA designation (CFP, CAIA, FRM etc.) and what kind of role/position do you have?
A few months ago, I interviewed for a job I really wanted. They said it was between me and an internal candidate but that they were giving it to the internal candidate as a promotion. Just yesterday they reposted the role, so I reached back out to the recruiter. She said it is the same role, and they thought they had a decision but are starting the search over again. How do you interpret this? What could have happened? Should I try to reapply?
I should probably move my money out of Bank of America. Where is your money? Local credit union? Black-owned bank? Is OneUnited Bank legit?
I started my career with my firm in my hometown (~60k population). After a few years I decided I wanted to go to a larger city (260k population) and thought my life world change as I was a driven single 26 year old. I got two promotions, but personally I don’t feel like I have any ties to the city and had better luck dating but didn’t find the one yet. Now since WFH started I’ve been mostly living in my hometown and am thinking about moving back. Cont…
I see that PwC has an annual $5,250 tuition reimbursement benefit. Is it pretty straight forward to get approval for? I’m an experienced hire thinking about joining the company. I am currently doing an MS in analytics and was wondering if I’d be able to apply this benefit towards future semesters of my degree.
Since Covid happened, I keep seeing posts about people working longer hours from home than at office. Well has anyone actually achieved the opposite, which is working less hours? You save time on commuting, meaningless meetings, coffee breaks, random questions from coworkers, etc. This question doesn’t apply to parents with young kids.
The non-audit people out there, does anyone HATE to work at client site like loan staff, etc?
What are some examples of post MBA job opportunities for those looking to stay in healthcare? I’m aware of the LDP programs from the big pharma companies, but haven’t seen too much else in my research

Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!
