Help me pick, fish fam! I’m choosing between 2 offers out of my MBA program: Big 4 consulting near family in a low cost city or a Facebook shitty operations role. Caveats: FB comp is $210k, consulting is 180k, being 6 hours away from family is almost a dealbreaker, and FB is a much better resume signaling name. What would you do?

I was hired on with a company at the same time as my male coworker. We work the exact position, different projects.
I asked him flat out what his salary was when he hired on. His salary is at minimum 15% more. He’s never had a raise.
Neither one of us had any experience in this specific position but he didn’t even have experience in tech, which I did.
I requested a performance and salary review via email b/c it’s my annual review time anyway. Best way to address this? Also applying elsewhere.

Told a couple partners that I’m leaving our mid size firm and be joining one of the big four. (Aas to faas) They told me I probably won’t get staffed on the type of jobs that I like, and getting the same amount of attention from partners/sm as what I have right now, and I will have to build up my goodwill from scratch, and they think it’s a pity that I want to throw away my reputation and relationship that I built at my current firm after 3.5 years and ask me to reconsider.
