Anyone moved from large corporate banks like MS or JPM to a smaller regional banks like Apple Bank or Webster bank? What are some challenges you guys faced with the move? What will I miss out on by no longer working at large institutions?

I made the opposite move, from a smaller bank to a larger bank. There wasn't as many career growth opportunities as I wanted, and they couldn't match the pay and benefits I was looking for. Sure, I felt more like a part of the team and was "closer to the action", but at the end of the day I got into banking to make money.

Comp for work life balance. If your revenue generating, it’s prob 10-15% step back. If your BO, it can be more. Don’t go community bank. Go regional with large growth and it will be fairly close.
