Anyone not bring work home (apart from work from home days)? If so, how do you do it? 😩

Company recently announced wfh until July 2021, with hybrid model afterwards. To say I’m on cloud nine is an understatement

I thought WFH may give me a break from the office and help me to me hate my job less but WOW was I wrong.

What’s the status of everyone’s work from home situation. Has anyone returned to the office, given options to return or told to stay out till the first of the new year?

If I’m honest, I don’t want COVID to end because I really enjoy working from home. I get a lot more done, and I can see my family and pets and neighbors… It isn’t easier. It’s just better. My friend is quitting at FCB because they are forcing them to come back 3 days a week. That gives me anxiety that I’ll be forced back soon at Publicis. Anyone else feel this way?

I’m looking for WLB, learning and growth in Web UI development, relocation opportunities outside India, yearly/ performance based increments & promotions, chance of permanent WFH. T-Systems, Nagarro, TCS, LTI, Dassault, CDK Global - offered salaries are almost similar, 5-10% more or less. I’ve accepted Nagarro but will decline a few soon. Am also keen on Dassault. ~6.2 YoE as Web UI dev.

Morning rant - I kinda hate this hypocrisy where we are doing everything in the world at this stage - visiting malls, watching movies, going to restaurants/pubs, travelling the world BUT just when it comes to going to offices, covid is a risk we will not go.

Company : Hey take this money and buy an office chair, table ,extra monitors, accessories to setup your home office. Me : Hey! Thanks. Company : Are you now comfortable working from home and feel productive ? Me : Yeah. Company: Awesome! Now come back to your base location and spend majority of your time working from a rented place where you will miss both Working from home and working from office.

How’s the remote EA job search going for y’all? I keep getting rejections for “remote” jobs in my city and everywhere else and I’m not sure why. My resume is great (or at least I think it is) and has always gotten me lots of callbacks…until this year. I know I’m competing with hundreds of peeps vs the usual local folks, but sheesh!

How much should a work from home auto adjuster be making? Would real property or commercial be more promising? I don't know if my income can handle waiting 4-5 years to move up to management and honestly, I like handling claims. Where is the money at in this because I know alot of people are really making it. I'm at 46k a year and a top performer. I want 65k soon and ultimately want to be at 80k in the next three years. My family needs it ....

Why Google is so anti remote . I know collaboration is cool, but if I am good with remote work then what is the issue . Been mostly remote for past 6 years without issues .
