I am a Phoenix! 🔥🔥🔥🔥😂😂😂😂
I went to a school that was ranked closer to 100 in the list of top 100. Never put an MBA in my title, but do list it under education. Holding a diploma means nothing. What you make out of it means plenty.
That's true D1, and partly so because often those form the top schools don't need as much advertisement to sell themselves. Those who need it tend to include it
Dunno what TTT is but I have MBA in my signature. Cost me $100,000 so you best believe I’m putting that shit everywhere.
Who cares? Get a life
TTT = Third Tier Toilet for those who are Google-challenged.
And agree, there is a very high inverse correlation between business school rank and propensity of its graduates to list "MBA" after their name on LinkedIn and/or resume heading
Exec recruiter here at one of the big firms (also a T15 MBA) and I roll my eyes every time. If it’s in your education (make sure it has the initials in addition to spelling it out) you’re SEO-Ed. Putting it in your header is weird.
This discussion kinda reminds me of how I took a summer class once at my sister's Tier 4+ school during undergrad and the professors all insisted on being addressed as "Dr so-and-so" despite their PhDs not being medically related at all and generally from pretty mediocre at best institutions. At my undergrad and grad school profs either went by "Prof Last-Name" or even just "First Name" because they had plenty of credibility without needing to force it down everyone's throat.
Neither do you 🤗. And yes I did read what you wrote; however, your argument is weak and it doesn’t answer the original question.
TTT? Spasm?
LinkedIn has an SEO-type feature (or, ranking feature). Those of us with it in our title are basically using SEO-mentality on LinkedIn, as many firms have it as a requirement for management positions.
CISSP is also common it looks so weird
TTT?
Nvm, just googled. Probably one of those cases where “if you have to ask, you probably are one”
In my case, you probably would consider my MBA a “TTT”.
Any MBA from an Aacsb accredited business school is fair game. Since they require 600+ gmat. So I don’t know what you mean by TTT. Moreover, an MBA is a professional certificate just like a cpa or cfa, it’s normal for people to list them next to their names. Plus LinkedIn is a professional website just like career builder, where recruiters go looking for specific skills, and it’s reasonable that people list their qualifications in bold next to their names etc. Like I won’t hire a Harvard grade to do data science unless he’s a PhD in a related field regardless of the school he went to, since the job requires advanced subjects in math etc.
Sorry @pwc2, I have one of those fancy schmancy top tier MBAs and also have a wife studying for the CPA, friends who got their CFA, and friends with PEs. I can tell you without irony or condescension that an MBA is a degree, and not a professional certification. If you still doubt me, spell out each two/three letter combo and you’ll start seeing the difference.
