My start date is in less than two weeks but my international criminality check is still pending (4 weeks and counting). Will they let me join the firm while the security company runs this in the background? I have proof of no criminal record for 3 out of 4 countries where I worked and lived in. The 4th country is Hong Kong and request of no criminal conviction can only be made when applying for a work visa there.
Can't make a decision between Chase Sapphire Preferred and AMEX Gold. Offer expires today. Help! P.S. Please don't tell me to get CSR instead.
Planning to visit India later this year, and also need to get my visa stamped (current stamp expired in 2016). I have an I-797 number from the approved extension, and another one from an amendment...
Anyone else excited to get 7.5% back on gas in Q1 using the Chase Freedom + Reserve cards? 😂😂😂
Anyone know what happens if your credits score isn’t high enough to get the corporate Amex?
An interviewing company hasn’t offered me the job yet but is asking me for my visa documents so their counsel can take a look. I assume they want to see how much time is left before extending offer. Has anyone been in this situation yet? I’m a bit wary of sending over personal legal documents when things are still up in the air
Does anybody else wish that the Firm just gave a per diem for travel and meals as opposed to just an Amex allowance. I never even come close to the $100 a day allowance when traveling.
I currently have a Chase Sapphire Preferred (my only personal credit card). Thinking of getting a United Explorer Card for the 70K miles. Doing home improvement work and will def be able to meet the minimum expense limit. Worth it to get this card? Better off getting something else?
Why won’t US government issue VISA to international doctors? They will be willing to come here and help as this is USA.
anyone know if i can increase the wire transfer limit in my chase account? it’s $25k right now and i’m looking to transfer $35k
Has anyone ever used their Amex card to pay for something personal that's $200+? If we pay it back then it shouldn't be a big deal right??? Asking for a friend....
Amex Platinum Users - How does “no preset spending limit” get reported to the credit bureaus? Just got approved and 6 months ago my credit was around 580 so this is a huge achievement for me, but I’m also obsessed with maintaining my credit score now. Google has not been helpful; too many answers are no answer. Thank you!
Do you need a visa to work remotely for a US employer if you’re living in another country and working from home? Any US tax implications? Canadian here.
Legal question for internationals. Is it ok to work remotely as freelance from US agency without working visa? I will be in the US for vacations.
Trying let the power of compounding take over. Would you chase 128 shares of an ETF then do the same for a tech stock or chase both at the same time, knowing your ultimate is a minimum 128 shares of each?
Can anyone with an Amex platinum comment on if it’s the best CC if you travel a lot? I’m planning on getting it soon, but wondering if there’s a better card for travel rewards/perks. Thanks!
Amex Platinum Cardholders - you get $20/mo in statement credit through the end of the year when you use your card to pay for streaming services or telephone bills. These are separate credits.
Been doing the same research as everyone on best reward cards (CSR, etc). I’ve been grandfathered in on a 2.5% cash back on all purchases via my USAA card. Should I keep all my spend here?
We usually Venmo our nanny each week. But for holiday bonus, do you all usually give literal cash? Check? Venmo feels like it’s not a physical gift
Similar to raise / promo approach qs: How do you balance loyalty with being firm so one is not completely being taken for granted? (More below)
At which level in Deloitte do you qualify for yearly bonus? Also, what is the max % can one negotiate for
Former Accenture to Deloitte or Deloitte to Accenture folks. At Deloitte, we’re pretty lenient on what we can get away with expense wise. How does the expense policy at Accenture compare?
Hey all, I remember seeing a email where it states PTO this year will not effect utilization.. But i see it resulting in a low utilization for me.. Both standard and adjusted are at 75%..Can someone please help me understand this.. Thanks
Might be a paranoid mom question - my 16 month old is starting daycare next week. So far, I’ve had virtual interviews/meet and greet sessions with the daycare staff. Today we went in for our in-person orientation and I noticed that my child is the only non-white kid in his class of 8. Not entirely shocking, but in my head (and having seen pictures in their catalog) I was hoping there would be a little more diversity. Should I be worried about my kid feeling left out because he looks different?
This is OP from the post about Martin employees getting sick Xmas gifts THEY ALL GOT IPAD PROS OMG
Does MBB has any practice that relates to construction and real estate consulting. Similar to EY CREAS?
Graduated 2018 with STEM major/extension. 3 years working, and in 2 of those years USCIS ran 2 H1B lotteries. So 5 lotteries and I still didn’t get it. The chance of not getting it 5x in a row is ~25% chance ^ 5 = 0.097%. Insane. Also, I don’t know anyone who graduated earlier than 2018 and did not get it on the first three tries.
I’m about to turn down a 25% raise from a competing agency because my company just gave me a promotion (7% raise) because I like my leadership team... am I stupid?
Any NY agencies hiring for a Sr. project manager who has media experience - In search of an agency that would value media knowledge that’s then translated to creative/production/strategy and site.
ACN digital M1 in ord. What's a fair pay?
How does the holiday weekend impact your quota? Still the same? It's still the same for me, which I feel is unfair.
Any tips on selling fun/silly/zany ideas? Is there a particular way to set it up so your internal team/client is more reciprocal to the idea?
Hey all, so I was initially informed my hiring process would be the following (Apple) HM interview -> Case study -> On site I completed case study last week and was informed it would take 1-2 weeks to hear back. I felt like I bombed the interview but ended up hearing back relatively quickly that I’ll be passed on for another interview (not on site). Since I am fed an additional interview before the on-site, does this mean my feedback was neutral?
