I have a friend who’s turning into a Karen. She filed noise complaints w the city on a neighbor. And then the city left her a notice about the investigation and the neighbor wants to talk to her. She’s now mad she has to deal with it and is wondering what the neighbor wants from her and what her end game is. I’m trying to be supportive but also don’t understand how she’s not owning her own complaint. It’s her problem she’s having trouble with neighbor noise in a city, not everyone else’s.

I’m 25/F, recently came out to my mother as gay and she was not receptive. I decided to send a message to my father and sisters to tell them next, and got crickets. I have a wonderful girlfriend and was so excited to share it with them, and it hurts to not have their support. I feel lucky that I have wonderful friends who do support me though. Just venting here but I’m so tired of being lectured by straight people on what homophobia is or it is not!

I find myself whiling away most of my weekend on Grindr and other dating apps. >90% of the time is wasted and doesn't lead to anything. I know it's a black hole but I still keep going back. Is my bar too high in this day and age if I want guys to at least ask me out in person instead of reaching out on social media having never met me in person before?
