Anyone open to sharing their strategy for finding an exit op? I spent the last 5 months applying, few final rounds but nothing materialized but I recently realized I’m just applying at will. I feel like I should be more focused and find something I truly want. How did people go about this “search/exploration”

I have the tendency to rush into something and then find out 2 years in it’s not for me. Just feeling really down and demotivated

I attended a client interview last week and was selected for the same. Now they are asking to join within a day or two. I'm having my mom's surgery this week. How to safely refuse to join this client project for at least 10 days. I can't take leave for 10 days.
