Additional Posts in The Miami Bowl
Hello Mr.PWC here. I Commonly see post about rent here. Well if you make under 110k you could get a cheaper apartment via the below link through the Miami-Dade county. They’re thousands of apartments nearly completion. Y’all just need to stop thinking g Brickell is the be all. You could get a brand new apartment in liberty city and be paying $1600 and the closet is a giant 10 foot mirror. https://www.mdvoucher.com
Art Basel. My first time what do you recommend?
Rising Star
I will be posting some networking events soon, in the meantime explore this bowl and find recurring ones.
I was a member at soho. What do you want to know?
I’m just curious what it’s about. :) what did you get out of it?
How much is soho house “membership”?
Around $2500 a year if you’re over 27 and 1500 under. I’m leaning more towards standard but it’s $500 a month if you want a plus one or around $350 for a single
Oooh same question here was thinking about soho house
Ok so what’s the value of being a member? Is it worth it… do you make meaningful connections? Can you make those connections without the membership? Do you have to pay all up front? How does it all work? What exactly are you paying for - what comes with it? Any working spaces too? Coffee amenities food?
If you’re under 27 you get 50% off everything on Mondays including spa treatments. There’s lots of invite only parties throughout the year - halloween being the funnest! They have lots of smaller events during the week, but they fill up quickly.
The gym is descent. I don’t think I made any meaningful connections when I did it 8 years ago but if I worked from there I think it’d be different.
Also why aren’t u still a member
I haven’t been in a few years but I do remember it being a very young crowd. I’m older and married now so the party life doesn’t appeal to me as much. I also live on the beach now as well so having direct beach access on my own is much more convenient than driving somewhere now. I like the idea of working from there but I don’t know anyone with a current membership so I haven’t been able to see what it’s like or if the crowd has matured. You’d need a current member to recommend you as part of the application process.
I’m not a member of either but am friendly with some some soho house members and have visited both properties multiple times. If you want to use the beach, then soho wins. If you want access to exclusive art Basel and other events, then soho wins. I think the quality of food and drink at soho is better but frankly both are mediocre in this area. You simply get a discount at their overpriced eateries so you’d still spend significantly if you frequent. Have not tried the soho spa but enjoyed the standard spa. You have to consider which location is more convenient for you to get to, and that there is a wait list for soho. In terms of meeting people, I found the soho property more intimate and so it facilitates connections better. Wasn’t a time that I went that we didn’t end up chatting with others. If you’re trying to find a place to work outside your home, I can’t comment on that.
Have you heard about Dante’s Hifi? I’ve never been but definitely want to check it out
Hmm, haven’t heard about that, but even if they do there are zero amenities. It’s still at the end of the day a pretty small bar with no kitchen, and certainly no pool, gym, etc
