Anyone particularly familiar with Porsche 356 values? I’m looking to buy and finish a restoration project on a 1964 356C Cabriolet and want to determine what the car might be worth completed.

I was a few years ago, but haven’t been in the market for some time. A word of advice for the project- take a look at parts cost and availability, 356s are a pricey resto job and make sure you have accounted for some of the bigger hit items. Used to work in a Euro shop when I was younger and it’s always the odd things like dash covers or certain $1000 small parts that make restos usually more expensive than buying it already done

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated! I say “restoration” but it’s pretty far along as it is and comes with just about every part I need to finish. The car is painted, most of the trim is on, and the drivetrain is all good to go. It’s non-numbers matching, had a replacement 912 engine installed and is running so I’m not too concerned about that. The interior is all installed, however some leather I may replace to freshen it up (looks like an entirely new interior would be about 6 grand). The top mechanism is complete, but the top itself still needs to be installed along with the headliner which I’d probably have a shop do. All in all, thinking there may be even be a profit on the other side of this...

A non-numbers matching car won’t be considered investment quality, but lots of enthusiasts will probably be interested in it as a serious, fun drivers car.

Agreed, at the end of the day it’s not a Speedster or a pre-A car so certainly isn’t anywhere near the pinnacle of 356 investments. If it’s worth somewhere around 100k (or slightly more) by the time I’m done, I’ll have done alright

I'm trying to buy a new carry-on size suitcase but am having trouble finding one that fits my requirements. Does anybody know a four wheel spinner bag that's: 1: decent quality build, particularly wheels and handle 2: has a lid that opens and one large compartment (soft or hardside but I don't like the two half clamshell hardsides) 3: looks decent (doesn't have to be fancy/designer, just something I'm not embarrassed to take to a client office) 4: under ~$300

Planning to switch companies but I'm currently in a consulting position on the bench. Note to removal defense lawyers. Bond approved last Tuesday, one week before today’s merits hearing. Lesson is to know when bond can be paid in your area to try to avoid future problems.

Advise working with a coworker who doesn't "answer the question directly": I just joined a new company and I am starting to work with a coworker but I feel like he tends to deflect my questions all the time and he often gives a vague/BS answer. FOR EXAMPLE, I stepped in reviewing the list of deliverables needed for the project, I provided my input but instead of discussing the actual context, he would just gave me a bunch of historical background information. How do I "cut to the chase"?

Interested in getting others perspective here. Senior consultant but received an offer in healthcare industry for more money and an upgraded title. TC for the offer is about a 25% increase, with the base being higher than my current TC. Should I take the money and run?

BTW, our contract with your client caps billable hours per employee because they know we don’t pay overtime. Here’s a non-billable code you should start using for the rest of the year.
