Not personally. But I heard from a friend that their sister's mother-in-law's co-worker's nephew had it.

Yes, my former colleague (who I guess now is just my friend?) got it very early in the panini - like April of 2020, and it absolutely knocked him on his ass. He wasn’t totally well for a good 2-3 months. He got vaccinated and had brutal symptoms from his shot (moderna) and then about a month ago came down with a cold which turned out to be covid. He’s said the second time wasn’t nearly as bad, and he would have just written it off as a regular cold but wanted to be careful and got tested anyway. Guy caught everything except a break.

My hair stylist got it twice.

Also fun fact my cousin and spouse just got it from their kid that goes to daycare. Adults were vaccinated, kid was not. Symptoms mild for all.

I have not had Covid twice but I have had the vaccine and got the variant

Geeze. And how were your symptoms? Do you have any idea where you caught it or how? Were you frolicking in crowded bars after the vaccine?

Raises hand. March 2020, plus loss of taste and smell(total) til June. Vaxxed in late Feb and got it again or insanely strong vax reaction from Feb-April. Im fine now.

What type of situations were you in that may have contributed to you contracting twice?

helpful

Good friend of mine had it twice last year but mild both times

helpful

Yes. The first time she had it was 7 months ago. She was hospitalized, had strokes, and had to learn how to walk again. She caught Delta the beginning of this month. She was unvaccinated since her doctor didn’t want her to take it as her body was still healing from the first infection. Delta almost killed her. She had 105.4 fever and her blood pressure wouldn’t register when she was admitted to the hospital. She’s home now, but is unable to do anything on her own. For background, she is 36 and was a professional body builder with no underlying conditions.

So she has her anti-vaxx comrades to thank for infecting her, when this situation could be completely and easily avoidable

Yes I do

Sorry I was just joking with you! Thank you for this insight

My father in law got it twice.

I personally know someone fully vaxed and just caught covid.

My bff is an amazing person and loves my 2 year old to death; but she’s also out a bars and living life as if it’s normal. Of course I want to help her any way I can, but am also slightly worried about being around her due to covid and being pregnant ..

I’m in second trimester. I just came from my grandfather’s funeral, outside. My aunt was around her 2 siblings last week that had Covid and she hasn’t been vaxed. She hugged me and mom (4 weeks from her last chemo session) and only told us about her siblings after. I’m so mad. I guess I’m just venting but the potential complications for the baby, me, and my mom make me worry. Any comforting words?

Ladies, I’ve noticed (pre-covid) that when men introduced each other or even when they enter the room they always shake hands with each other - even if they’ve known them/worked with them for months. But for myself, I may get a handshake on first day but never again. And I find it annoying like do you not think of me as your equal or do you think because I’m a woman I want a hug?? Has anyone else noticed this, or am I taking this the wrong way?

Just need to vent: my friend refuses to bring up the topic of covid and how it will likely effect her wedding. She’s just moving forward like we aren’t in a pandemic and it’s becoming exhausting trying to be supportive and excited for her when it feels like she’s living in a fantasy world. She just had us purchase bridesmaids dresses and I can’t help but feel like it was a complete waste of a few hundred dollars. I feel bad for having these thoughts but I’m over it.

I just had an employee tell me they are on the verge of quitting due to burnout- actually going to quit but was told to talk to HR for options (we don't have any in place). The manager wants to keep them as they are one of our best employees. Any recommendations on how to help alleviate burnout when the cause is from customers rather than the company? Is it worth it to let the employee leave and spend months looking for a replacement causing more stress/burnout with others?
