Anyone put on a performance improvement plan as an analyst? Should I quit before I get fired?

I am seeking new employment, I was recently laid off due to lack of work. I would very much appreciate any leads. I have a Bs in Construction Management and over 15 years experience with Revit and AutoCAD and 7 years of plumbing design. I have solid references and impeccable work ethic. I truly enjoy what I do. Working remotely the last three years has become a way of my life and supports our current situation well, therefore I am seeking a similar role but will consider other opportunities.

silly question: now we're heading into a recession, anyone has any ideas which functions would get laid off first: planning, analytics, dig or data operations?

So, this is a very personal kind of question, but I hope people relate and can provide an answer. I am CLOSE friends with a peer on my team and they an awful engineer and I'm always showing them up, simply by doing the right work. It's getting to a point where I'm getting bogged down by them, and I don't know if our manager will notice or if I need to do something to bring it up. What's the ideal solution for this? Maybe a stealth approach I haven't thought of? I don't want them to be fired...

Well.. I brought up compensation, being a women and feeling bias since I'm a Latina... and two weeks after fired. After I explicitly said I was nervous about even bringing it up in fear of retaliation. My review after I brought it up was riddled with "issues" that were never even brought up as being an issue. Things that make you go hmm.

Open to any UXR roles. Preferably remote/hybrid . Recently laid off due to corporate restructure. 3-4 YOE.

Hi, anyone has idea of any case where cts fired and terminated employment of employee who completed years in cts and after that cts found some issue in past work experience issue in candidate.

I have been going on interviews and noticed 2 department heads already assume I was laid off or fired due to a 4 months gap. I explained I left my last role due to short term health issues that have been resolved. Not even sure how to respond when they assume. Any advise? Thanks!

I was laid off in May and been on the job hunt for 4 months. Finally received a offer. Then a week later another offer. I was working remotely for the past year & I’m struggling w/ the idea of being onsite. Neither job is on my desired career path, my goal is people operations/HR operations.
Offer 1: Payroll Admin, on-site. 72k, 216 hrs PTO
Offer 2: HR Payroll Admin, Remote. 62.5K + 6k sign on bonus, 70k after 6 months, 144 hrs PTO

I was diagnosed with ADHD at 35, along with Major Depression, likely have PTSD, and the potential for me to become bipolar is high. Moved cross country away from an abusive family situation. Fortunately, I have a great psychiatrist who has helped me understand and try to accept this new information. He is medicating me well, adjusting as needed, all after utilizing a DNA test to see what’s most effective for my physiology. The problem now, I’m afraid to try to work again. I don’t know who I am.

Why do staffers/MD’s ask me “how many deals have you done in x sector”? I get that it’s to get a quick idea of whether I have exposure to a sector and how much, but I once had a bad experience with an MD who specifically asked me every few months “how many models have you built in your career” and now this attempt at quantification just bugs me. Why would the number of models or deals matter so much at associate level ?
