Random question but do you let your kids hang out in your bedroom and use your master bath if applicable? My kids always seem to want to use our bathroom instead of theirs and my spouse doesn't care but I grew up with my parent's room basically being off limits and think I'd prefer it that way.
Anyone watching Indian Matchmaking? Aparna and her mother have to be the worst, right? She thinks she's a godsend and quite frankly she looks like a potato, is ignorant, doesn't sound nearly as intelligent as she professes to be, and is even more negative than I am! That's gotta say something.
Any mom watch Ryan’s channel on YouTube with their child(ren) and catch when the mom said “$10 Ryan?! That’s a lot of money!!!” MA’AMMM, have you seen the prices of the toys YOU’RE charging for the terrible quality? They’re never fun toys that you can play for a long time either 😭

If you are leaving your parent company ,can we ask the client of that company which u worked for to hire you? Has anyone started traveling yet? Client’s city has not had an outbreak and I’m slated to travel soon. I’m fairly nervous and refuse to fly so looking at driving 5-6 hours. I also have a young kid and my husband works lengthy hours so I’m pretty apprehensive but don’t feel like I’m at liberty to decline travel.
For those who have taken parental leave, do you uninstall your work chat app from your phone while you’re away? What about email? Do you delete the account from your email app?
I don't have time to make purees at home. I buy from store all the time. I make sure it's organic and natural preservatives. I feel guilty that I don't give my six months old baby home made food ☹️
Is anyone a 100% remote? I know it’s a great opp to be remote during the covid and flu season esp with a young baby (5 month old) but I can’t shake the feeling off that I’m missing HHs and just team events. Doesn’t help that I’m based out of a state where the majority of the team is not present.
What was your utilization like after taking parental leave? About to take a couple months and I’m curious how much it will impact my year end utilization % (not that this will impact how long I take off).EY
Left my desk for a little. My kid decided to cover for my meeting. He worked the group like a champ. Nobody noticed. I guess a 6 year old can do my job 😂
Where would be a good fit for me? 720-740 GMAT. 3.9 gpa from nontarget state school. 4 years B4. 2 years in Tax & 2 years M&A Tax. EC: mentored low income kids for 3 years. Started small side resale business that has brought 40k revenue over last 3 years. Also white male & grew up very poor with a single mother. Where would be a good fit if I wanted IB? How long are you considered a “baby lawyer”?
Today is my first day back at work (and first full day back in my physical office) after a few weeks off for parental leave. Needless to say, I am struggling to stay focused on anything other than wanting to go back home to my spouse and child. I know I shouldn't take an emotional temperature on day one, but it has been more difficult being back than I anticipated. Any tips for navigating the waters for the first day/week/month back?
Neighbor’s kid started practicing piano all day long. I support the learning but goddamn the kid sucks at it, and it’s hard listening to this trap house dubstep jazz all day long while I work, and I don’t want to wear my headphone all day as a solution. How to approach their parents? Can you even lower the volume of practicing piano?
In PA, what qualities in a staff/senior do you see that make you think this kid has got some serious potential?
Thoughts on activity in the heat (90’s) while pregnant? I’m 4 weeks along and want to keep up golfing, but worried about the heat. (Doctor says it’s fine - looking for how any of you mamas actually felt)
Am I having some sort of existential crisis? We’re a month away from trying for our first kid and I just keep thinking about how sad I am to lose my current life of freedom/ease. I can’t get through Adele’s “When We Were Young” without crying. I know there’s beauty on the other side and motherhood is always something I’ve wanted dearly. I just can’t seem to get where the bout of sadness is coming from.
Has anyone considered or is anyone a practicing SMBC (single mother by choice), while still being a full time consultant? Thinking about going down that road to have my own child.
Looking for help related to maternity policy which states we’re eligible for 16 weeks postpartum and it should be taken within first 6 months from delivery. Does it have to be consecutive 16 weeks?
Hi- I am currently a software dev project manager and looking at CISA cert to make a switch to IT auditing. What are some good roles/companies that are hiring? Any other tips or info on the day to day jobs for someone with this cert? I am looking for a more "quiet" role. Less meeting/zoom call time..
Anyone here know what total compensation is for a Strategy Associate role at Deliveroo in London? Would be great if you could please provide breakup by salary, cash bonus and stock options. Currently have ~2 years of experience at MBB (straight out of UG). Is £80K total compensation too much to ask for? Not sure what range to quote given this is going to be the first time I move jobs.
I'm going to put braces at 25 this Tuesday. Any tips? Should I be worried about appearances after WFH?
When everyone is getting more than they’re full of Zoom meetings, what are some other ways to keep employees engaged, connected, and feeling like they’re part of something important?
Just got an email that Le Parker Meriden is leaving SPG. Such a bummer - need to find another SPG go to in NYC
Corporate banking at MUFG (LA office) or corporate finance at Oaktree? Long term goal is to pursue MBA and transition into operations and strategy types of roles. Any insights are appreciated! Thank you so much!

I have 2 offers: 1. PwC US for the Manager position. 2. Infosys for the Senior consultant position. Both offered same base salary (around 150,000 USD) PwC has huge signing bonus. Have to join Infosys as H1 transfer is already done and I already resigned from TCS by the time PwC offer was finalized. Once PwC H1 transfer is done then should I leave Infosys within 2-3 months after joining or should I continue with Infosys and decline PwC offer?
Hey googlers, quick question on offer expectations, I just completed the process for a GCP TAM role and out of the 4 interviews 3 went excellent but the one case study was okay, I wasn’t able to answer a couple of questions out of 6 properly. So 3 questions for you all: 1. Do we need to get a Hire/Leaning Hire for all interviews to make it to HC? 2. Does the Hiring Manager have a higher weightage on offer approval? 3. Can having one bad interview affect leveling directly? Google
What’s the promotion period for McKinsey’s North American offices (period when it’s decided) ?
Best practices for remote onboarding? Any horror stories? Anybody have good experiences?
Anyone have insight into revenue accounting? I’m interviewing for a sr revenue accountant position and wondering if it’ll be too pigeonholed. I also have zero background in this type of accounting so it would be completely new to me, but the hiring manager didn’t seem to mind that I don’t have any experience in this area. I’m fed up with the hours and lack of support in public and want to leave before next busy season for context.
Thoughts on INSEAD MBA? It looks like it is a really good programme. More on the ability to get a job back in the US? Also thoughts on other European MBAs (London Business School, Cambridge)?
We all know consulting/advisory jobs in big 4 and mbb are tough and high burn ones. Expectations of high stress and long working hours are there. Why would people still want to work and stay in those jobs and expecting the companies to bend with their low stress tolerance.
I did not do well on my interviews for a consulting firm, but the Partner and recruiter are still giving me an offer and keep trying to sell me on the firm/seem desperate. Salary is beyond the norm, is this a red flag?
Is it normal to attend all of Google interviews and feel like you aced it? Just seeing if it is really me who did well or how they make me feel. Preparing for the worse is important. 😊
Moving from MBB consulting as a consultant or PL/EM/Manager, what are some good industry exit opportunities (outside of PE) where your compensation won't take a hit?
