Given your role, this sounds more like business development crowd sourcing than an altruistic interest in how people are supported at work.
I appreciate you! M1!
EY1- I work in private practice. Most clients are private consultants or work in MBB. I’m working on helping build more resources and consult with these powerful companies to explore new and better ways to support employees and to support my own clients. I hope this helps
It’s been a real pain trying to even find a therapist through insurance. I actually stopped looking bc of it. Would love a clear way to access quality therapy.
If you’re still looking for a therapist I’m happy to provide a few referral sources for your perusal…
No pressure…
if you are interested… here are some recs
helloalma.com
therapyden.com
zencare.co
psychologytoday.com is probably the biggest therapist directory, however, I often receive feedback that it’s confusing and stressful to navigate.

Same as M1 and MS1. I’ll also add that it’s next to impossible to find culturally competent therapists in my network.
That must be very hard to deal with. If you’re open to sharing more I’m happy to provide any resources I may have
We get 25/year annually which is a nice perk

I think Deloitte offers a few eap therapy sessions but I didn’t go for them because I wanted someone long term, not just a few visits. Maybe if I knew I could find one that would have free coverage for a few visits but then take my insurance??
My husbands insurance is UHC and he pays 100% coinsurance until a $5k deductible so each session is minimum $100 and so he won’t go. But getting him on my insurance costs an extra ~3-4K a year (can’t remember exactly) which feels wild.
Searching my insurance site was overwhelming with no good filters for types of therapy and methods for treatment and understanding difference between those who dole out pills vs CBT type work vs doing both….
And of course, everyone has a waitlist of 3+ months right now which is tough because they may not work out.
Thank you for your reply I appreciate you. Are you still searching?
My company pays for 10 EAP sessions but I find too little as it is not enough time an ongoing support and treatment. I’m currently using those sessions but still not sure how that will benefit.
Also agree with MS1 on how difficult it is to find a therapist. Most professionals I called aren’t taking new patients.
Thanks for your reply! If you’re enjoying working with your EAP therapist/counselor I wonder if you’d be able to continue the relationship outside of EAP. Of course pending mutual interest…
Can I ask what you’ve tried so far? Where have you looked? Re: finding a therapist.

5EAP sessions
They just started an Integrated Mental Health Services offering which is a concierge service for finding help.
Still no help paying for therapy outside of insurance though
I currently only get 5 EAP sessions and I feel like it’s not enough at all. During Covid they gave an extra 5 but I think once a month should be the minimum. I usually meet with my therapist every 2-3 weeks.
