Anyone recently close on primary residence or getting current quotes to close with less than 20% down? What did you put down and what are you paying for PMI or HELOC? Some more info to help you help me: Not FHA, No asset based loans/401K/IRA loans, FICO below 720 (depending on the month!)

Buying 500k home with 5% down.. getting quotes of ~5% interest rates with 0 points for 30 year conventional.. if closing is within 60 days… pmi is around 150( depends on credit score and loan amount)

like

CS - anything above 740 is best, 2nd best- 720 to 740 .. and so on .. I was at 735

Wait you’re asking about heloc…why not use the sake of your house has the down payment?

funny

When putting down less than 20% buyers can take out a second mortgage/HELOC on the subject property to keep the 1st Lien mortgage at 80/20 and forego PMI…haha I was worried about asking this question on Fishbowl…waiting for someone to respond to the effect of “if you can’t afford the home than don’t buy it” or something similar

like

$635k, 5% down, 5.25%,had to buy points with like $5k, pmi is $110 a month. 800 credit score

Trying to decide between 3 offers remote/Columbus

Square is 84k salary 5k bonus and 80k stocks vesting over 4 years
Veeva is 100k salary 20k bonus and 25k Stocks each year forever
Teletracking is 125k cash 5k bonus

I know about Square the most and if they paid closer to Veeva and Teletracking I’d probably go there but it seems like they underpay.
The Veeva culture seems really good but it’s a sustaining engineer position for year 1 so debugging
