A friend has been offered a role as an independent contractor commercial counsel for a pre IPO tech company in NYC (roughly 10-20 hrs/wk) with the possibility of becoming a full time offer. I have 9.5 YOE already serving Notice period. Got offer for SAT TSE IT service line

1) I have got designation ASSOCIATE MANAGER Grade 42. Is it good for 9.5 YOE

2) current offer in hand is 25 LPA 22 fixed 3 variable. EY GDS offered 23.5 fixed + 10% bonus. Should I ask more?

3) I also asked for joining bonus as I will be joining in 30 days but HR declined. Should I bargain hard for joining bonus. If HR increase the offer that is 23.5 LPA?

Is it better to leave Deloitte India and join Ey gds?

Presently working in EY as AM. Total YOE 6.2yrs. Got selected in Deloitte at Manager level. Please suggest the Compensation (range) that I may demand:
Present Package - 19.5L (fixed)
Variable - 10-15% (Would be pro rated to 8months)
Joining bonus - 1L
Not sure about variable payout but will have to let go off the joining bonus and hike for sure.

How about job security on ey gds?? I already heard many negative points on work life balance.

Need to understand for this YOE, Manager 1 is the right fit or is there any chance to negotiate with HR for Manager 2 or 3 ?
