I am the only person that makes up our Recruiting team, for 3 years now— with 50 locations, 100+ ads on a monthly basis, 20+ new hire full cycle onboarding weekly— all done by me alone. I’m still making less than $50k a year. I’ve done SO much to help streamline the hiring process, saving time and money for the company, and myself. I need more than the 5% raise I was promised. How do I respectfully ask for that at my review? (mind you this increase would still have me below $50k annually)..

Curious to know what technical recruiters 10+ years of experience are making in Austin Texas?

I was recently asked to apply for a company who offers commission. The role would be for technical recruiting. Can anyone explain how it works and their experience with it?

I’m currently working with a senior level HR candidate. This individual has a doctorate in business with a focus in HR, her SPHR, Federal, and private sector experience at the singer level, and has a fabulous personality. I’m curious is anyone else having difficulties play some candidates like this? At this point I’m starting to think it’s racial or her sex based of the lack of interest in this candidate. Any thoughts?

As I think about looking for a new job outside of recruitment, how do you reconcile leaving commission behind? I make 50k base but over 6 figs in commission within my first year, and I WFH. I’m still “early” career with only recruitment and admin work history, and it appears that any job I’d qualify for is realistically 45-70k.

*I’ll stay for the money, but I’m wondering if it’s worth it in face of the lack of management, their disciplinarian mindset, and the non-stop stress from it all.

How do you all deal with the large number of LinkedIn requests from candidates that want to chat 1:1 when you are not the right recruiter for the position. As you can see, I work for a very large company with many divisions. I don’t know many other recruiters outside of the bubble of my greater team. I want to be helpful, but I have no insight to the role or know the recruiters for those roles. Do you think it’s okay to give them the correct recruiter’s name?

Any Microsoft recruiters know if hiring has slowed down or stopped for the recruiter roles? Also, would anyone be willing to give me a referral?
