Anyone reneged an offer before? How do you go about it?

“And for those reasons, I’m out”

Just say you appreciate the offer, but due to a change of circumstances, you will no longer be able to move forward. If they ask more just be honest. This happens more than you realize, ESPECIALLY in this market. It is at will employment for a reason.

I’m so glad I don’t live in an at-will employment state

“…while I appreciate the time and the offer, I am going to decline”

It was tough. My mentor referred to his company. I told him I received a better offer that is more suited to my background and he was all for it. Just make sure to be honest about it and tell them ASAP. Do not ghost or give them the run around.

Three sentence email that is gracious and too the point. Do it in a way that doesn’t waste their time

PSA: for those of you who preordered iPhones, it looks like the orders were just finally placed today. Got a confirmation from emobility that the order has been placed and it'll be 4-6 weeks.

Recruiter vent - I submitted a candidate to a manager on Friday. I told the candidate it typically takes a few business days for me to get feedback. Today she texted me saying me and my company are rude for not getting back to her. She then raised her pay rate by $37/hr based on that. She also told me she could give me “free of charge” communication and developing relationships training since I’m “clearly lacking” Mercury is definitely in retrograde, y’all LOL

Hello Friends, Is the Notice period in LTI negotiable? If yes, kindly share details. Thanks :) Larsen & Toubro Infotech

One of my friends got married and made his last name hyphenated with his wife's. Anyone else think he just got neutered? I'm all about equality, but some traditions aren't bad to keep around.

New senior here (with CPA). I'm making my resume to apply to jobs. I've been on 3 process improvement engagements in my 2 years (lot of people barely see 1 in my group), and the experience is almost consulting type work. However, the rest of my work (majority) is business controls testing (not IT). Obviously my resume can't just be 3 bullets of my "consulting" work. How do I include the controls side but still come off as marketable for non-RA roles?

Received an offer from a PWM team as an associate at MSWM. They offered me $85k base with a $20k bonus as well as the opportunity for an additional 5-10k depending on performance. I feel like this is a little low and is in line with what I am making currently. Am I wrong in thinking this?

If there were Olympics for consultants, what would be some of the events?
