What is the appropriate amount of time to follow up with a company after they've verbally told you they would be giving you an offer? I don't want to look desperate as I know that's not great for salary negotiation but it's been a week and I really want to follow up!
Currently in Accenture with CTC 9.4 LPA (including bonus, fixed pay : 8.4) and 4 years 4 months experience in a .Net Support project having experience in Python, Powershell Scripting as well as in Blue Prism RPA. Want to switch to companies like Deloitte, KPMG, Morgan Stanley , JP Morgan or any such big firms. Can someone tell me if I can get offers in those considering I have worked in a support role for all the years? If yes then also my expected package ?
Is it a bad idea to join a first time VC fund as a Sr Associate as a PL at BCG? I expect itll be a massive decrease in comp (TC ~300k to ~150-180?). But its a topic thats interesting to me and the hours will be better
What do you all think of this Louis C.K. quote as it relates to pay? “The only time you look in your neighbor's bowl is to make sure that they have enough. You don't look in your neighbor's bowl to see if you have as much as them.” Do you think this would make us happier if we didn’t look at how much our neighbors make? Or do you think that by sharing our compensation we can do better as a collective group to force companies to take care of inequalities?
Curious to know what everyone's signing bonus is for a consulting job? Either fresh out of college or experience hire? I'll start - college hire, $0
I’m still fuzzy on this whole innovation thing. People are still getting hired to the role. What do they do? They seem to be nothing more than pundits. Someone else could be hired for that salary.
Bain folks - seen a number of job postings that appear to be non-traditional data related tracks: ‘Data Science’, ‘Pyxis’, ‘NPS Prism’, ‘Data Venture Specialist’. Can anyone comment on a few of those opps? Is it all second-class citizens? Perspectives on WLB / Comp / Path to Partner as compared to traditional?
For Oracle Functional Consultant with 4+ years of experience (Non-MBA) , what will be the ideal salary in PwC SDC ?
What is the salary range for a Senior Associate in PwC’s valuation practice? Does it range by group (financial modeling v. Core valuation)?
Hello guys and gals, at some point I will have to negotiate the salary for my next promotion - to senior accountant. As most of us are in different parts of the world, I'd like to ask what % increase you'd expect in relation to your previous salary? Also any tips for negotiating? Thanks a million. 😁
A company called DASH technologies reached out to me saying I pay 16% of first year salary once I get a job. They said they will get me interviews. I have been working on my job search for a long time. What are your thoughts on these types of staffing agencies. I can get interviews on my own but no offers. I'm applying as a Software Engineer/ Web/ Fullstack.
Hi, How is the support Engineer role in Salesforce? how much salary can I expect/ask if I have 5 years of working experience and an immediate joinee,I also have an offer in hand of 13 lpa. Could someone please help me.
Perspectives on Managing Director (newly promoted) base and variable comp across big 4 and equivalent firms looks like these days?
Just interviewed for this job that sounds superficially good but I think will take me back to the work I did 10 years ago but will pay my target salary and will have a fancy title (VP). I don't really want to do this but I need a job, have run out of UI and don't want to deplete my savings to nothing waiting for the perfect job. If offered, should I take it and continue looking or will it look bad? Changed jobs within 1 year once already. At least this job would be spinnable for what I want.
What’s the average salary increase when SSS becomes an Solution Manager? Where does the base pay for an SM start?
Regardless of your industry, please share how your compensation is set up? If you’re willing please be as specific as possible. We are adding to department and have never had more than one recruiter. We would like to understand, the real compensation packages offered AND what your thoughts are on that package - is it fair, does it motivate you, how would you improve it?

Peeps, what happened if when you got married to a citizen while in the process of getting work green card? Does the company make you return the fee they pay for the application?
I am interviewing for a Private Equity role (product management) and I have no investing background besides my finance degree. The firm is well aware I have no PE experience. Any tips or advice on what to expect would be appreciated.
Delta from LHR to ATL is delayed from 2:05pm to 6pm. Will they just give me €300/€600 (if it’s longer than 4 hrs) if I just ask for it, since it’s by EU law? Or do I have to go through hassles?
Informed today that, unless we win some new business in the next 90 days, I’ll be laid off. Thoughts on when I should start to make alternative plans? (Con’t)
Anyone at Ogletree Deakins, Jackson Lewis, Littler, or Fisher Phillips who can share the latest on their remote work policies?
Let's say I have 100k invested in a SaaS startup that went public. I'm 28, employed, have another 35k invested in ETFs/dozen other stocks and have maxed out my 401k and roth contributions. I'm bullish on the startup for the long term. Would you: 1) Recoup your initial investment pre-IPO and let the rest ride 2) Sell the full 100k, pay capital gains tax, and diversify 3) A mix of both, and if so what allocation
Hi Guys, I have been offered by UiPath to come as an consultant in their emerging product service department- anyone has any insights in their culture, financial offering ? My position will be to as an Process Mining Consultant.
Anyone here who started their consulting careers later in life? Always seeing posts about how young people make it to P... wondering about the other stories. I started as a C at 29 (yes, unfortunately, I fall into the bucket of exp hire hired at a lower level...), made M at 33. Doing well but also feeling like I’m already too old to aim to be a P. Hoping for some perspectives.
Marcus by Goldman just sent me an email, the day after I funded my HYSA with them, to let me know they are dropping the rate from .6 to .5. This feels like a con. Anyone else have this happen? Might as well just bundle all my Amex accounts and switch to Amex HYSA since it is currently at .6
Anyone interviewed for any roles with Amazon FinTech? How's the team? What was the process like and what is the $ like?
Does it bother you that the job market is so faddish? When I left college (pre-crisis) most wanted to work for a bank or MBB. Now all I hear about is FANG (but mostly G) and startups.
Zoom meetings are a lot like dating after 30: soft light, flattering angles, and relying on personality can get you surprisingly far.
Dear FCB CHICAGO, you tout diversity but you let go of one of the only two black creative directors in your building today. This CD was good with the client, work and team. (Cont’d)
Lady 🐠- serious question. I have a work crush on one of the directors at my current client. I don’t work with her directly but am always impressed with her during cross-functional meetings and would..
Any interns here? How's your remote internship going so far? Must be a weird experience...
