Practice, practice, practice. And nervousness may not be a bad sign. It means that you take your job seriously and are prepared for the meeting.

You learn how to manage it with practice. Even professionals still have them after years of work.

I normally try to chill with the coffee if I know I have meetings/calls that will make me anxious that day. Or power pose. Or go stand outside for 5 mins before.

Never goes away. What I’ve found helpful is learn how it manifests itself to others and control that. For example, If your hands shake, hold on to a marker or something. And over time, use that adrenaline to your advantage to bring energy and positivity to the presentation.

Good advice, need to start carrying a marker or pen with me.

It’s weird, for me I experience it only sometimes and it’s not necessarily when it’s in front of important clients or leadership (it’s really inconsistent when it happens) I’d like to think it makes me razor sharp but I need to be mindful of slowing down how fast I’m speaking

Mindfulness meditation maybe

Make sure you always rehearse the opening statement

I recently got a verbal offer from KPMG strategy. Is that more prestigious than like, most other firms? Like, I know MBB is done with recruiting; I feel like below MBB for name recognition is the Big 4 and other firms aren’t as reputable. I’m trying to decide whether or not I should interview and apply to other firms or just take this one (assuming a written offer ever comes along). Also, I prioritize work culture and exit opportunities over salary, but don’t want to be paid below poverty line.

What does your retirement budget look like? Assuming no debt. What is your expected basic minimum expenditures (core life)? And what are you budgeting for fun and luxury? My basic is around 10k a month for taxes and food and transport and utilities. Luxury and fun is another ten. Big expense in basic is property tax. Big expenditure in fun is travel. I think my basic budget is too high and I could bring it down and be very happy in a smaller home and less restaurants.

Back in the day, I did my own PR, sales & marketing for whatever business idea I was running with at the time. What’s a good remote sales opportunity I can do anywhere in the world that won’t be painful or too high touch? Where I can use my social & business skills (markets, law, cloud, publishing, media, logistics, algos, social media, books, ebooks, design, podcasting, marketing, press release writing, voiceover, journalism) to earn a few extra shillings?
