What are your thoughts on someone trying to build wealth off of their grandparent because their own parents were incapable and both grandparents had to step in financial and were forced to pickup the slack. Currently grandma does not like when her grandchild asks for money despite the grandchild has a degree, own apartment, no car note and great savings. The grandchild wants to leave her apt to live rent free with her grandma and buy multi unit home and go to med school. Is this normal?

Please help me think straight here. If I have maxed out 401k, Roth, HSA, is it still a good strategy to contribute to the max tax deductible amount per the 529 plan even if someday my kiddo doesn't use it, and I'll pay 10% penalty plus the income tax of whatever income bracket I'd be at age 65 to cash out because the tax bracket will be likely to be lower than where I am now.
Also is the tax deduction retroactive, meaning that I'll contribute with post tax $$ and get $ back via tax return?

Silly question but can someone explain how credit card payments and utilization rates work? I always pay before the payment due date but think that is causing my credit score to be lower because of how/when utilization is calculated. For example, right now I have $500 in total transactions, it says payment due date is 1/8, but total minimum payment due is $0 and next closing date is 1/11. When is the “correct” time to pay?

How do you guys find CPAs to do personal tax filing? Is there a website you would trust? I’ve been googling, but just seems so random on.

Also, any thoughts on a price ranges? I’ve done taxes myself in prior years, looking for an expert eye this time
