Yes, sounds like costochondritis. Dealing with it myself. Pre lockdown I had nagging chest soreness in the gym and then really set it off by doing body weight dips. Hurts when I stretch and turn in bed.

If that is the case I’ll save you some time: it’s an inflammatory issue so the only cure is lots and lots of time off (plus or minus nsaids, heat/ice, etc).


I’ve read that it can be caused by bad posture as well, but based on definition seems more likely from movement injury. A physio can diagnose and treat via telehealth if you need urgent care. A bit frustrating for me as lifting is one of my favourite hobbies and I’m out indefinitely.

Can someone help recommend a food plan?

I (male) just turned 27 and have noticed my body changed over the past few years. I am 5’7, ~168 lbs. Athletic build. I stay active: gym 3-4 times per week, some basketball, ski, other social sports, peloton, golf. Admittedly, I haven’t been doing much cardio for the past 6 months because of jumpers knee.

I eat relatively healthy (6/10). Usually eggs or oatmeal in the morning, turkey wrap, salad with chicken for lunch, protein and salad dinners…


If anyone here’s struggled with EDNOS, how have you recovered? I’ve gone back and forth between restriction and bulimia and binge eating the past few years and don’t want to struggle so much anymore, but can’t afford inpatient/therapy beyond Talkspace
