Literally never had this problem can’t relate
You struggle to get to 1200? Honestly eat a handful of nuts or a scoop of peanut butter that’ll get you 300/400 calories
Yes, getting to 1200 is a struggle. Thank you!! I just realized I have a big bag of cashews !!
Can you describe what you eat in a day? I’m 5’2” 106 lbs and I easily eat 1300-1500 calories a day and am still hungry a lot. Granted I work out a lot so maybe I have fast metabolism (when I work out I eat 200-300 more calories). So I’m just curious what your diet is like on a typical day. I measure everything I eat with a kitchen scale.
OP, this sounds like a borderline eating disorder. Have you considered speaking with a therapist and/or dietician?
Triple 0 Greek yogurt has like 200 calories. Eat nuts, or almond butter as a snack. Bananas and apples are also good. Pound a protein shake as well
Thank you!!
but for actual advice, just add high calorie healthy things like nuts, peanut butter, avocado, chia seeds, etc.
Yessss I ended up eating a ton of cashews tonight .
2 servings brought me up 320 cals! Good in this case but yikes otherwise.
BMR is 1300 so trainer says I should eat at least that but I seriously have trouble reaching it unless I eat out at dinner time. I think I’ve reached 1300 cal maybe 3 times since the year started.
I’m literally just full. And I count every single calorie so for example: ate 1090 cal yesterday and that’s including the m&ms and half a cookie I ate lol.
I’m just not seeing how to reach that calorie count unless I eat junk or takeout, yet I’m not losing weight? 5’1, F by the way
Also not sure if it matters but I’m trying to drink more water so I’m that also makes me super full. I’m at 650 cal for the day right now.
Yeah I noticed that weirdly whenever I have Indian takeout or something heavy my weight drops a few lbs but goes back up when I eat healthy again.
Is it possible that you’re not calculating calories correctly?
I’m using MyFitnessPal and scanning everything with a barcode or using measuring cups when I portion out my food. Including my multivitamin gummies. The only thing I don’t have is a food scale.
Eat out!
I swear eating out is a lot of calories! I’m 95lbs haha...I should get on it too.
Op- I’ve had this issue ever since I was in high school. I just don’t metabolize at the same rate as others, so an 800-900 calorie day is just fine, if not a lot for me.
I’ve tried to do more meat for protein and it brings the calories. Nuts are my go to snack or dessert. That keeps me incredibly full from lunch right past dinner. I recommend sticking to adding more Protein and fruits/veggies as snacks or treats.
Good luck and know you aren’t alone! I work out every day, some days are intense and 2 hrs, others are just a run of a few miles, and I haven’t been able to increase calories either. I just keep analyzing what I’m eating, making sure I’m getting good representation of protein and vitamins, and then talking to my doctor to make sure I’m healthy and not bordering on problems.
