Every time the issue of affirmative action comes up, my mental health plummets.

I feel like the fertility process is pulling my hubs and I apart. We’re both not great at communication, but I feel like this stressful process just is not bringing us together at all. I can’t vocalize what I need (because I don’t actually know what I need) and hubs is stressed and I feel like he’s drinking more and just not talking about his feelings. Anyone else navigating this? I don’t even know how to broach this topic. I am all about therapy, has anyone benefitted from couples therapy?

Is it more difficult to hear (or process hearing) things when on stimulants? Several times people speak to me and then I feel I didn’t hear or understand them, never happens off stims: Any similar experiences?

Anyone else at a firm so rooted in the past that you’re embarrassed explaining it to other attorneys?

Example: We are 10 months into COVID and my firm still hasn’t decided on/implemented a video meeting platform (Zoom, Teams, etc.). So if I want to have a video meeting I have to ask the other party to use their video services. And it’s not at all a funding issue.

What do people do when you feel really lonely? Just broke up when I thought things were going well, and moved to a new city where I don’t know anyone. Feels lonely and overwhelming. Scoping out therapists too but asking for any stop gap measures I can implement for a month or two.

Im getting into swimming and I’m like OCD about my watch tracking my workout as accurate as possible (even if it’s not the most accurate 🤷🏻‍♀️). I used the open swim for the first time yesterday and one down is 25 yds but one full lap is 50 yds and regardless I don’t think it tracked my swim accurately. Is there a trick?
