Not really, there is just more awareness and with cameras and social media racists and sexists expose themselves a lot more in public than they used to.
That's a racist/sexist question
Everyone calls everything racist and sexist. And everyone is afraid of being labeled the same. A white man can sneeze on a bus and people will say it was a hate crime on the basis of race, gender, and sexual orientation.
the words lost all meaning once they were co-opted by political interests who realized there is incredible power in creating a group of "protected" people that cannot be criticized, and aligning themselves with that group
@Op I was offended by your question you are racist/sexist/bigot/small hands
@k1 exaggeration much?? White Americans need to stop with the reverse victimization shit.
P1, thanks for proving the point
Yep. People get offended so easily now and can't handle listening to someone else's opinion, so the easy way out is to call everyone a racist and a sexist. That's like crying wolf at literally everything ....when a truly racist or sexist thing happens that requires people's attention, no one will care

I think prejudiced is a better word to use than racist in like 99% of cases. Because racists believe that their race is automatically superior. And because I know this matters to a lot of people, I am a minority. I've met a lot of prejudiced people and rude people that were so based on the basis of race, but I don't think that they think they count as racists
@a1 hahahhaha right. P1 is probably the same person that says it's impossible to be racist towards white people and eating chinese food is cultural appropriation.
Yes, people can no longer agree to disagree, they now need to shut others down.
No. I think people are being called on it more in a lot of cases and it makes for uncomfortable self reflection.
@k1 nope racism is racism even against white people, but please stop trying to create equivalencies it's not even close.
No, I think people aren't doing the work to define the terms before they start arguing. Some people say racism when they mean prejudice. Some say racism when they mean white supremacy. Both are convinced their definition is sacrosanct. If you agree on the definition of terms (if only for one convo) a lot of stress disappears.
Associate 1 like yesterday's terror attack in NY with the slaying of a black man that no one is talking about?
@EY2 I think it's not being discussed as racist because it's obvious. Modi discussions come when it's debatable
The term prejudice is also used incorrectly as a synonym with racism
There is pre-judging and then there is judging, which are quite different.
What are you basing "predominantly Caucasian" off of?
Because MOST people in a disenfranchised group do not ask a question like OP. Just an assumption would be my guess as to how EY4 arrived to their conclusions KPMG 1. Also seeing that most of who is in consulting are white people so again an assumption that the poster by the odds could be Caucasian.
