Posted a few days ago this as well. I’m on course 3 of 6 for Texas. Hope to finish the courses by winter break completion.

Each state has unique requirements. In Texas it is 180 hours via 6 30 hour courses. Maybe not that much time each but it is a good chunk of that time plus a final certification exam. I’m around realtors and have done quite a few investment properties so I’m fairly familiar with most of the subject material.
I have my license and plan to purchase property for myself
For myself. Maybe in the future I would explore this as a career when I quit my current job.

I do this in NY, because if you’re already admitted to the NY bar, a bit of paperwork and a small fee gets you licensed as a broker in the state too. Other states are likely different though.
You can buy a property without a realtor without needing to get your license... Just negotiate the fee with the seller in your offer
