Agreed. Use MyFitnessPal during the week and it’s very helpful.
I prefer LoseIt! Doesn’t have to be for losing weight but I like the UI for tracking
It’s better to track macronutrients! Aka, how many carbs, fats, and proteins! This will help you balance. Google IIFYM and it has a lot of good calculators!
I just started tracking and this was a struggle for me. Everything online said I should be eating like 1,500 calories which for me is WAY too low. I get dizzy and I’m starving all day. Everyone’s needs are different and cannot be defined by a formula. What worked for me was tracking my normal intake for about a week and adjusting my goal from that. I was eating 2-2.2k cals per day (including alcohol) and now I aim for 1,800 — but I eat more if I’m still hungry.
