Anyone traveling yet? Curious if any firm has voluntary travel. I miss it - it added so much to this job. 😥

I’ve been traveling for 6 months. 100% voluntary at our firm. I seriously think my wife would divorce me if I were home 7 days a week.

We are not even close to that being a good idea from a corporate risk perspective. The pandemic ain’t going anywhere until late late 2021.

Planning a one week trip to Yucatán. My first time in Mexico. Not a fan of big resorts. I’m an introvert, would love to find a quiet place to recharge. I looked at Palmul, which is between Cancun and Tulum. Does anyone know the area? I’d also love to drive around a bit. Maybe an overnight trip to Merida. Can I just get a rental car and explore? I’ll be traveling around alone. Female.

Hi. I’m interviewing for a dream job. Only issue is, it’s in New York and they need me to move. Is there a way for me to negotiate remote? Everyone at the company is remote right now due to COVID, even the supervisor I’m working under is based in LA. How do I land this job AND negotiate a remote-with-occasional-travel policy? For reference, I’m in Chicago.

Recently joined a project that’s been in flight for long time. Onboarding hasn’t been great, not sure who my Point of contact is, where we are in the process (since they started such a long time ago and the SoW is outdated by at least 2 years), what the objectives are for this phase of work. Manager sort of just says things that suggests I should know, which deters me from asking Qs. They recently came across as a bit annoyed when I’d ask a few Qs. Not sure if they fee the onboarding decks…tbc

Got hit up for a role for MBB in Atlanta. Thing is I’m in Nashville and honestly love it here. While none of the MBB has a presence in Nashville (to my knowledge) does anyone know how likely they would be to let me stay here? I want the job. I’m also willing to travel every week. Just got a good thing going here and don’t want to leave.

How to hide emotions? I’ve been very depressed for a long time now but this time is different. Nothing gives me dopamine. I mean absolutely nothing. Don’t want to talk about it just want to carry on with auto pilot. No drugs. Crack is whack.

This happens right after I was joking about the fact that she calls me when it is convenient… a friend of mine, told me I should give up as she brought me a souvenir with hearts and all that. Fish, help me. I need serious consultancy in this. Many thanks 🙏🏻

Recently started at a firm after clerking. I feel major imposter syndrome and have no confidence in the work I produce. It feels like everything I learned while clerking has faded and as though I have negative years of experience. Is this normal? I understand that nerves come with being a junior level associate but I truly feel no confidence in my work product. Any advice or thoughts?
