Anyone use a temporary (paper license) for a hertz rental car? I have the original ID with a hole punch in it as well. Waiting for my new ID to arrive in the mail, but won't get it before my rental starts.

Customer service rep was clueless on whether or not it would be accepted.

It’s a legal document from the government, it’s just temporary hence it being paper. It should be be an issue

like

Lol except when proving your age to a bar. Made that mistake when visiting a buddy when I still had a temp license from moving and every bouncer reject it even though I’m in my 30s lol

Use your old expired license. Put a key ring in the punched hole. They never check the date. If they notice it only then pull out the temp paper license.
I’ve used this tactic for an entire year without an issue.

like

Got it

I’ve had it accepted.

Can’t speak for Hertz but at least for Avis they accepted the paper license so long as you had some other gov issued doc with your name and picture on it (e.g. passport, expired license / state ID etc)

The temp paper license is legally your current license until your official one arrives, so it should be accepted no problem

I've had it accepted, was a good 10 yrs ago tho 😅

Hi, I'm an employee at a hotel chain who works remotely. I've been working remotely for over a year now and I love it! The company I work for is very supportive of remote workers, which is great.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.

I already travel a lot and this boundary is super important to me. Am I right or wrong?

Hi Fishes,

I have given my interview in HCL and cleared 1 TP, 1 hcl manager & Client TP and Client Manager rounds .
In initial screening HR told the generic statement of 30-40% and I have given my ask as 50% minimum. After clearing the rounds I heard from the project team that Client has given great feedback and wanted to take me in .
What is the % I can ask in HR Discussion and will they reject in HR if I ask more now .
I have 9.5 years total experience and role is Storage Architect.
Thanks

I was on a partner/manager call today and they were discussing the “high” turnover at the senior and experienced associate level. What was shocking is that while ours is about double normal, evidently we are 3 out of 4 in turnover meaning 2 of the Big 4 are even higher.
