Anyone use AA miles to book business seats to the Maldives? Travel sites (TPG, OMAAT) estimate ~140k RT, and to use BA’s website, but I can’t figure out how to find any space all the way to MLE.

Call AA. The online tool sucks

Take those sites with a huge spoonful of salt. Their income is dependant on people signing up for travel credit cards so they down play the difficulty of booking awards.

In my limited experience trying to book partner awards in business is only usually possible if you are willing to fly on a Tuesday or Wednesday or with 2-3x layovers. It may be even more challenging going someplace like the Maldives.

If you are really set on it, it would try one of those booking services that find the award space for you. Both site you mention reference then.

Find the space in segments via BA’s site - not straight through. Once you find the space, and have verified routing rules, (ie no third region transits) call AA. You won’t find Etihad’s space on BA btw, so you’ll have to use their site for that. Good luck!

Thanks all, appreciate the insights!

You can usually get cheap enough seats to the Maldives from US hubs that's it not worth using points - earn the miles and pay for it

Wow spelling seizure

I've built sales teams from scratch, 10 years of sales exp, and familiar with a lot of tech. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
