How many recruiters is too many to be working with? I’ve currently got three recruiters I’ve sent my resume to, and have them looking for opportunities for me. Im careful to make sure that none of them are sending my resume to the same firms. I have an offer for a PE Ops role and whilst comp is good it seems like they're hiring a pool of internal consultants to leverage for implementation projects within specific PortCos and therefore I won't be driving initiatives centrally - is this standard practice for Ops roles?

At this point I think I'll turn it down given I'm looking for something that operates more centrally (driving not implementing myself)

Is it too late to get into PE for a 33year old male? I am currently a Senior Consultant and wondering if I should try to make the jump to the alternative investment world. I interned as an investment associate at a DFI a few years back before joining consulting and really loved it. I know an internship isn’t the same as an FT role but I am interested in investing. I will appreciate if anyone here can share some words of wisdom. YoE - 6.5years, Strategy and Operations, MBA(non-target school)

Would love any thoughts on my current situation. Worked 1 year at a T2 firm (EYP, OW, S&) and make the transition over to MBB 3 months ago.

While recruiting for MBB I was also doing off cycle GE recruiting. The process dropped off and resumed just a couple weeks ago and I’ve received an offer for this summer. Wondering if leaving after 6-8 months in MBB is too short or if I should just take the offer and run w it.

Has any fish in here heard of SSA & Company?A recruiter advertised it as PE consultancy that is up there with with MBB but I’m not really sure how much of it is true. They also claim folks from there usually exit to various roles in PE ranging from ops to corp development. Just trying to verify all of this info

If you’re 4 years into consulting will it be tough to win offers on deal teams? And typically are you set at the same comp and promotion cycle as others typically entering with 2 years of experience? Trying to decide if recruiting for Associate roles will still be worth it…

I am a M2 at B4 FDD and don’t know how long i’ll be genuinely interested in this work. Currently debating rotating into a B4 IB associate role for a year or two, then moving to PE. Is this a reasonable move? I know IB lifestyle will suck, but I don’t want to find myself in a spot where I dislike what I do in a few years and feel like moving to IB may increase my chances of landing a better gig in the future ( as opposed to sticking to FDD)
