What is the best way for a working mother to find time for herself while balancing a demanding job, two little kids, and a marriage?

I have 5 YOE and H1B is approved with an offer 90K/Yr in TX, US. Wanted to know if 90K/Year is sustainable for Me, Wife and a kid of 6 months? Would I be able to make any savings or should I ask for more? Thanks in advance :)

Anyone else have a parent who blatantly favors their most irresponsible, underachieving child? I earned a scholarship and worked through college, didn't receive more than a few thousand dollars from my parent during college and grad school. Sibling loses scholarship due to too much partying, so parent pays most expenses and tuition so sibling can continue to party and not get a job. Sibling almost fails out of grad school, but barely lands a job. Parent is now buying sibling new car.

Any foster moms out there? I’m curious if companies provide parental leave to support new fostering relationships? Have your companies been supportive of the time commitment during work hours?

Should synthetic abortion be a thing? I.e. it is made legal for a man to declare before a judge that he wants no part in a child’s life prior to the child being born. He then has no requirement to pay child support but will also never have the right to see the child. Essentially, it’s abortion from the male side. If both man and woman are required to create a pregnancy, but only the woman gets a say after that if the child will be born, is that fair to the man?

Misled on Maternity Leave Policy. I found out I only get 4 weeks pay for maternity leave (STD +“sick days”). I will take 12 weeks but wont get paid for 8 weeks. I work for a US, west coast based company in the tech/VC industry. Their website claims to offer “paid parental leave and other progressive benefits for parents”. I didn’t find out until after I was hired their pay was only 8 weeks but since I have been at the company less than 12 months, I don’t qualify for their policy. Is this unfair?

How soon after maternity leave can you switch jobs without it being…rude? For context, I was eye-ing other positions but then got pregnant and now I feel like I should stick around through my awesome 16 week leave. I would return to work next spring. Would it be appropriate to plan a job change in summer 2023?

How to negotiate a raise for a promotion? I've been offered a job in a different group at the same company that would be a promotion and a 10% raise on my current salary. I just received a 3% annual raise 1 month ago and the 10% is on top of that. My new salary would be $106k.
