Hello! I’m new to fishbowl and wanted to make my first post. I’m currently in the process of transitioning out of the Air Force and looking for a skillbridge opportunity in project management, preferably located in Tampa, Florida. A few companies I have on my list are Accenture, Raytheon Technologies Corporation and JPMorgan Chase What are everyone’s thoughts on those companies and how military friendly they really are?
Can someone refer me to another company?

GI Bill will only go so far with an MBA as many top programs are private.
HOWEVER. Look at schools like BerkeleyHaas. Public and GI Bill will cover it 100%. Still a top / target school (top 15 or something? Don’t recall), gets recruited well, and has a crazy high BAH so you can pocket a ton of money if you live in family housing.

Agree on definitely researching the Yellow Ribbon program. I went to a private school that I never could have afforded if they didn’t offer it.
I’m about to use it for an executive MBA at an M7 school. The GI Bill + Yellow Ribbon + BAH covers the $215k price tag. I also got into UCLA Anderson which is public and would be covered 100% (meaning I could pocket the BAH). In the end, you only get one MBA and very few people get a shot at an Ivy degree. We’ll see what the ROI is in a few years
Congrats
*laughs in enlisted* no. Had to use it for the bachelors
I used mine for an MPA but I went to UGA so just about everything was covered.
I chose it because I know I’d like to go into local/state government work in the next few years and it aligned with my nonprofit work since I attended school and worked full time. It is also in the top 5 programs for my degree. I thought about doing dual degree with a J.D. but decided not to.
Used the gi bill and yellow ribbon, which put me on the hook for $18k a year. I took out $30k in student loans but could have done less if I was more worried about spending. I know a lot of my classmates took out $150-180k in loans so would say it was a pretty awesome deal.

What school did you go to
No, used GI Bill for undergrad. But used Voc rehab for MBA.

I was looking into it but decided to try the workforce first. Why are you looking at an MBA?

Increase earning potential and for self edification purposes
Used mine for executive MBA.
It was an 18 month program but only required 16 months or so. Full BAH for the program and no out of pocket expenses. It was through Virginia Tech so not the most expensive school at about $80k.
However, knowing what I know now, I would rather have gone to a bigger name school with some out of pocket. EY hires from top tier schools at a premium over other schools. The investment would have been well worth it overall
I did. Not a great program, but it happened to be one of the three years Deloitte recruited there for campus hires.
Husband did for UCLA- good program and they do well with GI Bill issues
I used it for an MPA. However, I have enough of the GI Bill left for an MBA and I’m debating whether I should pursue an Executive MBA while I’m still working or just quitting my firm and getting the full experience of B school.
Used most of it on Undergrad. I had a little left over and it lasted a year.
Yellow ribbon is a great program. Also, if you joined in Texas (I believe that’s the rule, but please correct me if I’m wrong), you have the Hazelwood Act that can be used for Texas schools (UT, A&M etc)
Yes. Had 40% and went to HBS. It made a dent.
