I use it and I think it’s good. Takes you through a session, asks you questions, has journaling exercises each session to identify, explore and challenge your emotions.

Yes I have the annual membership, I think it’s only $80 or something so totally worth it. The ap teaches you about CBT and the philosophies it’s based on, and allows you to keep a journal and tag each session (ie, self, career, family etc) so you can look at your entries and see patterns. I think CBT is very effective when practiced regularly and you see how a therapy session would work. So yes I think it’s a great place to start, reading stoicism is also a great way to practice CBT since that’s what it’s based on. If you want something more personalized then absolutely seek out a CBT therapist. But this is effective and accessible for day to day. For many people (maybe this doesn’t apply to you), therapy is not accessible. Either financially or because it takes so long to get a session. And you may not click with the first one and have to try several. So this is a good resource to get help right away.
