Anyone used Botox to treat TMJ/teeth-grinding? My dentist said i should get a mouth guard and potentially do some physical therapy. I seem to be doing a lot of clenching/teeth grinding in the night. I was googling other options and came across a suggestion for Botox. I already get Botox in my forehead for cosmetic purposes so I'm not worried about Botox generally, but unsure how common it is in the jaw for this medical purpose.

I just took over a SAAS product where I own P&L with 800 B2B clients with so much customization that it feels like 800 versions of the product. The product was acquired and there are a ton of process improvements needed, tribal knowledge and start up mentality. I have a PO who does the day to day work with the devs, but otherwise it’s just me. I’ve been a PM for 15 years and never felt so understaffed. New Orleans attorneys: my firm is trying to gather data on billable requirements, rates, and salaries because it’s been experiencing crazy turnover lately. If you’re comfortable, it would be helpful if those in New Orleans or similar markets can share this information. I’ll go first: 1. Firm’s primary practice: insurance defense; 2. Firm size: 25-50 attorneys; 3. Billable requirement: 1950 annual; 4. Salary range for 1-5 year associates: 70k-100k; 5. Salary for 5-8 year associates: 100k-125k.

There is a partner in our office that routinely discusses associate performance with other associates. I feel like the people who hate their careers are much more vocal than the people who are enjoying themselves. I’m a first year in big law, and I honestly just feel grateful to have a stable income for the first time in my life. My work life balance is good because I just draw boundaries and stop working at my cutoff time unless an emergency and make time for fitness/ wellness/ meditation. But I guess my Q is — where are the happy lawyers? Am I doomed?

My assistant of 2 years is making mistakes and I have no hiring/firing power (partner does). But having to babysit her and also the partner and spend time to clean up these mistakes while also getting my job done has become unsustainable. I can’t have a firm talk with her because it’s an empty firmness. If I mention it to the partner - he tells me to have a firm talk with her, he doesn’t want to be the bad guy and he doesn’t get how bad it has been for me.

What can legally be asked for maternity leave? My sister got a big packet of questions involving questions about her pregnancy, medications she’s on, etc., from her HR dept to be “approved” for leave. Feels wrong. I have not had to give them anything other than dates for my two leaves.
