Is there any ongoing hiring freeze in B4?
Hi Fishes,
I need a Career advice from you all, I am currently working as an Automation Engineer and thinking to switch my profile from Testing to DevOps.
So will it be wise to switch to DevOps profile?
Are there Enough Opportunities in Devops?
Or should I think of some other profiles to switch to...

We (both big law associates) have frequently used this. It’s hit or miss, sometimes the providers were fantastic and sometimes I asked them to leave early. I’m ok using it as one of us works from home and our kids are age 2 and older. I wouldn’t use it for very young kids.

I’ve used it and it worked out well. I think maybe twice I had someone come to our apartment and a few times I used a daycare center either while traveling or when my regular care at home was unavailable. I’ve also used BH as a primary daycare for my kids at different times so maybe it helped that I had some familiarity with them already. If you want to use a center there’s some paperwork required first so I’d look into that ASAP so you’re cleared to use it.
I loved it. My daughter actually went to bright horizons back up full time (they had some full time spaces and we managed to get one) from 11months to 18 months. I found the staff excellent and, since they need to be ready for last minute kids, they had a very favorable staff to kid ratio.
Its awesome
We’ve used the benefit twice, once at a center and once with an in home sitter. We’re in New York so not sure if this is the case everywhere but the only backup centers available when we needed it were in midtown/Times Square. And they require a ton of paperwork, including a medical form signed by your doctor (our pediatrician requires a week of advance notice so that is no easy task). The in home sitter was much easier for us. She was good with my one year old as I worked from home. If I have to go into the office and need backup care, I believe I can request her again. I liked being home for the trial run to keep an eye on things. It seems they generally take about a day to place you with a center or sitter, so I’d be hesitant to use this for a last minute request.
