What are you trying to accomplish? Do you have a weird lug width on the watch?? There are lots of mesh bracelet makers out there, so likely one makes a match for you odd lug size.

I want to use a Staib mesh bracelet on a watch with 19mm lug width. They only make 18 and 20mm bracelets.
If there are other high quality mesh bracelets out there, then I’m interested, but the majority have cheap stamped or friction fit clasps vs a nice milled double butterfly clasp.
If you are really sold on the Staib, I'd get the 18mm and I would use tiny O-rings on each end as spacers. I actually did this with the JB Komfit, just out of an abundance of caution because of the adjustable spring loaded ends. They're a bit of a pain to get on but once on, they do work well. I eventually abandoned them because I kept changing straps but they're a decent solution and better than filing something, which frankly, I think would damage your lugs over time.

Alternative is going 1mm bigger on the bracelet and filing it to fit, but I’d be a little concerned that it won’t work as well with a mesh bracelet like this.

Both sound like a hassle. I’d just get the right size bracelet.

Well yeah obviously that’d be best but they don’t make it in the right size

Here’s a 19mm option. I’ve bought from Watch Gecko many times before. They’re quite good. This is the simpler style clasp, but I actually prefer it as the butterfly can often times be uncomfortable if not designed properly.

Yeah, I’m aware of the other options, I just don’t like the little hook and lock clasps on mesh bracelets. It’s tough to put on with one hand and doesn’t feel as secure. Staib makes the bracelets for Breitling - they know what they’re doing. Just looking to see the best way to make it work.
Try the Forstner reissue of the JB Komfit mesh. Comes in vintage 16mm width or 18mm, but at the lugs it is adjustable and either size would accommodate various lug widths. I have one on my 19mm lug width Speedy and it's very comfortable.
