Compgauge is better IMO

Big fan of compgauge

Depends on what information you are looking for. I prefer open anonymous forums like Fishbowl for researching on the company. I also reach out to ppl on LinkedIn. Glassdoor is not reliable because in my previous company, the HR pushed people to write good reviews about the company. I told them i don’t know what is glassdoor, i don’t like making accounts on random sites. But yes, the HR was able to change the rating of the company with such a trick

My team has two interns. I like one and dislike the other. He said to me, “I only need to work two years at a big four to make 6 figure salary.” (And no he wasn’t joking on this).

I’m graduating this year and am wanting to start a career in strategy consulting (or really any form of management consulting). Long term, I am wanting to get into BizOps with a tech company (which almost always requires consulting l) Thanks fishbowl!

Claims manager salaries - curious what claims supervisors/ managers are making out there. I manage a team of 8 adjusters and make 100 plus bonus fully remote. I feel extremely underpaid.

Did you see the October bulletin. Eb3 current dates moved up to 2015. This is going to be great for a lot of people....

Do we have yearly Base/OTE increase for Solutions Engineers at Salesforce/Mulesoft based on personal performance?

Am I being underpaid? I’ve been with Dell EMC for 5 years as a presales SE in the New England area and make $205k TTC Dell

What was your salary progression as a sales engineer while at Dell? Thanks all!

Any SE's here currently at Snowflake? I'm about to start an interview process with them (already had a phone screen with the hiring manager). I'd love to get some insight into the day to day of SEs there, especially on the enterprise team. I'm a former Oracle SE with experience in data management and analytics and I'm currently at a small SaaS company helping build out the pre-sales function as the second hire (because the first got whisked away to product management after 8 months haha).

Is it generally advisable to gain experience as a swe first or to move directly into presale a post undergrad?

Pay progression from SE to management? Was wondering what a typical SE manager makes because it’s hard to find.

Hey everyone! I recently graduated this past December and started my current role January 24th. Just this morning I had a recruiter from Meta reach back out to me about a role I applied too last month. Should i schedule an interview with the recruiter? What if it goes well? Would it look bad if I quit my current position to take this role if I end up getting an offer? One reason I would want to switch is because the pay would most likely be a lot higher at Meta then in my current position.

Anyone report to sales line of management? I've always reported through solutions, I'm interviewing and curious what your experience has been. I'm been interviewing and the pre sales roles report to sales which hasn't been the best experience for me in past.

I'm asking for help as I'm interested in switching to Solutions Engineering from a Software Engineering background.

How do I make the switch?

Do you have any materials to suggest that could help to land a job as a Solutions Engineer?

Thanks a lot!

Hey, I am appearing for a pre-sales engineer interview. It will be a sort of role-play demo session, where the team will want to understand how I present, how I manage a room, how I keep my audience engaged and also your technical abilities when asked regarding the solution. I have a liberty to choose any data science related product. I am essentially confused as to what product to choose, and how to structure the presentation. I would highly appreciate tips and suggestions. Thanks

Hey everyone, French here. I’ve been coding for my all life (10-15 years) and have 6 YEO professionally (without internships). I feel like to move on in my career by upgrading to a SE/SA path. I always love problem solving and I am obsessed with detail. I don’t have any opportunity in my current company, so I am wondering where I should start to make the transition. What skills do I need? I feel like needing more responsibilities and having a valuable job.
Also, any ref?

Thanks everyone!

What are some of the best companies to develop a career in technical sales? I have been considering SAP, SalesForce, Adobe. Would love to hear more thoughts and ideas!

Have not been able to clear the finish line for Sales Engineer roles because of no sales experience 😔.. 2 big companies in tech. Constant feedback is that I do have strong process and product experience but no sales experience. Any suggestions?

Would appreciate referrals too. Have over 15 years experience in implementation and solutioning.

Hi, could anyone give me an idea of SE salaries in Europe? E.g. Google, Amazon, Salesforce? Others...

How much do SE managers make? Is it more than SE’s?

Hi after some advice. I'm a copier tech in Sydney. I apparently get paid more than industry standard. I'm also the only manufacturer trained tech in the company. A trainee let slip the offered him 9k more than me and I've just been told I can no longer do over time. Do I stay and fight or do just move on.

Also does anyone know what the usual salary is for a copier tech in Sydney Australia?

Does anyone at Google know if there are SE roles based in UK specifically for GCP (App Dev side i.e. cloud run, firebase, etc)? What is the official title?

Hi Everyone,
