We use I-Ready which the students don’t like. I’ve been pushing for IXL. Reasons? I did a trial run for about 20 days and the students responded better to it. I also like the immediate feedback students get with IXL - this was the best feature for my students- they like to know why a question was incorrect. I have a gut feeling they would do better with IXL.
I have used Prodigy in my classroom the last 2 years and the majority of my students love it!
I just wish that students could see how much they’ve done, but agree they love it
Our district uses MobyMax
We use both IXL and Prodigy- The kids love Prodigy - it is a game and I can assign certain topics. However sometimes the questions are not quite aligned or have wrong answers I like IXL for practice with immediate feedback.
We use IXL and Study Island. Both serve different purposes. Anything can be boring to some. The way it’s being used can make the program more or less interesting
We use iReady and IXL. We have taken IXL topics by chapter and give kids the list of them to work on. Depending on the progress at the end of the chapter, they get a summative score for their completion. Also we have a school incentive for iready that as kids hit milestones they travel across the USA and earn prizes. That’s helped us a lot. We also use WIN time so must do things depend on the student.
We use ixl and my kids love it. They were using a program called exact path and found it incredibly dreadful.
I use prodigy and freckle. The kids LOVE both
IXL is great for skills based practices. I make them do it whenever they have free time, I don't use it for instruction.
We started using IXL this year. I just received more training on how to use it effectively this upcoming school year. I like knowing how quick I’ll get to see reports after students complete segments. This past year students didn’t seem to mind using IXL however I wasn’t a pro so they got to pick their own topics. That will change this year
we use IReady. from what I've heard, they are supposed to be revamping the MS to be more "middle school friendly". 🤷 We'll see!! 😁
hi!! which one of all you mention is more suitable for K5? I would appreciate your answers!! thanks
