I went to the one in the loop and the line was pretty long but I got through in about 1 hour

Thanks. I’ll have to go soon.

Make an appointment the morning of and you will be in and out in 15 min!! Went to the one in Melrose Park. Not all locations take appointments.

Go to the express one in the loop.

Do you have global entry? That ID qualifies as a real id.

Yeah. I didn't do the real id since I had the global entry card.

Newly promoted experienced hire SC making $113k, 10 YOE (switched industries). Got an offer from TCS in an Advisory practice (not the tech sweatshop stuff that I keep seeing people mention). Base salary is $190k and in TCS equivalent of a M role. Downside to taking the salary hike and boomeranging back to D in ~2 years? FYI - I have 2 kids, so that kind of pay raise is kind of a big deal.

Ethical question: would you try to negotiate a raise in current job if you know you’re actively looking elsewhere? Context: had an incredibly challenging year with a huge project that completed successfully. Extremely complex tasks and long hours. Got an award for “disruption” but in summary, the role evolved and now I want to ask for market adjustment /as well as merit raise. I also hate what I do at the moment and can’t wait to leave, but might take months. Should I still ask for a raise?

Currently working as SM2 at PwC and interviewing with KPMG for a D position. Is is a good comparison in terms of designation? How’s the comp for D in KPMG? T2 city here. I have been with EY in the past and can vouch PwC offered a better WLB and culture. Always heard KPMG has better WLB and culture. Is it just a speculation or have some truth in it? Strategic Advisory FSS role, 8.5 YOE, masters.

I hate the McKinsey culture but enjoy consulting. Might I enjoy BCG more?

Hello fellow MBB fish! I had a question I am hoping to get insights on. I accepted an offer from McKinsey in NYC and was supposed to start in March, which I now pushed to May.

Got invited to interview at Google for a role on their global partnerships team, but realized that role requires less experience than I have and the title is Associate rather than Lead. I know (con’t)
