Any one make a move from fund admin after big 4 assurance and then was able to make a pivot to a PE fund accounting team? I am considering moving to a fund admin now. Have 9+ years of big four experience. Worried that I can get stuck in fund admin. But I have interviewed at several big name pe shops and make a few rounds on interviews but then get the same feedback that they are worried about my lack of operational experience.

Can anybody explain to me how PE seems to have a worse WLB than management consultants in Switzerland? It feels like everyone at MBB‘s has just a much more relaxed work environment.

Up for manager this cycle in big 4 deals (fdd & data analytics). Currently part-time MBA (top 20). Got a verbal offer from OW senior consultant level (CDD & ODD type projects). Is this worth to step back (both title and salary) to break into consulting? (i am interested in PE exit) I would like to pivot to post-mba associate roles in MBB or other tier2. Should i just stay and apply with manager title? In terms or salary - it will be ~50K ish low.

I am an owner of a small firm in the Midwest (50 employees). I’d like to make sure our comp and PTO are comparable as possible to the big four in the Midwest. We base our packages on approx 300 over time hours during tax season (usually 55-60 hours per week Jan to April) and then the off season has 3 weeks of vacation, 2 weeks of comp time and Friday afternoons off from may to sept. Was hired as Ent AE @ a young tech co. 7 wks ago. Somewhere there was a disconnect on ramp. We agreed on OTE, but was led to believe that my ramp plan would be outlined by my boss after I started. I brought it up to my mngr several times but got no answers. I thought it was partly due to leadership finalizing quotas & commission plan for the org.
