Not bringing cash to the airport… you’re running behind getting to the airport and the line to check a bag is insane. Helps to have cash to tip the people that check your bag in the drop off area

Understand when you are connecting at large airports where you have to change planes, knowing the layout of that airport can be crucial in making your flight if your first flight is delayed. Example: if you flying internationally and connect through Atlanta, there is both an international terminal and a domestic terminal. Making the run to the gate can take upwards of 30 minutes - not fun when you’re cutting it close anyway.

For Maldives specifically, choose an earlier arrival so you have enough time to get to the seaplane! Food is expensive, so decide on what meal plan makes sense for you.

Same with BDM1. I brought the wrong purse so I did not have cash with me. I am just so thankful that I was able to keep my credit cards in the inside pocket of my bag. It really gave me a hard time.

Cutting it WAY too close in getting to the airport. I rarely fly international, so I typically arrive at the airport 1-1.5 hours prior to boarding (I live in a small state with one airport that isn't crazy busy). Unfortunately, hubby and I learned the hard way that you definitely need more time with international flights when we missed the cutoff by ONE MINUTE and couldn't board our flight. We made standby but that flight got delayed due to weather, so we ended missing the last flight out of our connecting airport and had to stay in Philly overnight. Missed an entire day of our very expensive vacation. Definitely won't make that mistake again.

Anyone have tips on where to sleep in St Louis airport from midnight to 4:30 am?

To research everything you need before actually going there. I was a total mess when I went to Paris. At least, I learned a lesson after that.

Time to give back:
Asked about Alan David vs Michael Andrews vs Enzo Custom a while back. Went to consultations and ordered one full suite and one casual separate pairs.
Alan David: traditional, no BS, very professional 10/10
Michael Andrews: slightly less value for money, same fabrics, outsourced bespoke, light BS due to flashy showroom 8/10
Enzo Custom: stylish and fashion-forward, good value, in-between M2M and bespoke, flashy in a good way 9/10
(Subjective and based on personal experience.)
