Having worked in both med device and pharma - pharma tends to move much slower in regards to all aspects of the operation. Longer clinical requirements mean gradual upticks of products, etc. a lot of regulations to adhere to, but if you’re familiar and can pick it up quick it’s a great gig.
Compared to operations in most industries, pharma has close to the best upside, however it’s not going to pay like Consulting until you’re at the higher levels.
Been in this general area across traditional pharma, consulting, and tech. The only thing I’ll add is that being highly regulated and controlled introduces so much nuance that is in a way almost a form of rent seeking from a position of entry.
FDA, DEA, CDC, cGMP/GDP, cold chain, and various requirements across branded, generic, and specialty products matter given the sheer value of the product.
Any specific type of operation or pharma product? Could differ a bit between something like vaccines vs car-t.

Early in the process for a role with a lot of infectious disease-related products, unsure about specific operations details
