Hello all, I'm doing IVF shortly (retrieval in May, and transfer in July). Fingers crossed I do get pregnant. BUT I MIGHT be up for Senior Manager at Accenture this year as well. My husband's pushing me to keep gunning for it and make it happen. I'm REALLY worried about the increased expectations/responsibilities if and when I get the promotion, not to mention the extra effort it takes leading up to it to keep proving yourself. Shouldn't I be turning it DOWN a notch instead of UP?? Thoughts?

Hi guys, I am a fresh senior software engineer working in a devops team in a reputed it services firm in India. How many years of experience would it take to get to a manager level in my field. Also, does a manager deal only with managerial aspects of the company or does he deal with the technical aspects and as such has to be technically competent forever ? Since I have interest in devops, I thought of moving into devops and also ppl says that devops have good future.

In my office we have a very small number of black people. I don’t know the exact numbers but it doesn’t seem like more than 10. All of them I know >3 are on a personal improvement plan for very basic reasons. One faced blatant racism and was placed off the project. Therefore it was harder for this person to find a new project. How to investigate if this is correlates with microagressions and discrimination towards black people? Any ideas? How to convince non POC that this is a problem?

Does anyone know how to successfully transition from academia clinical research into industry clinical operations? I’m currently at a director level of a large research program in academia and oversee operations.
