I recently have an interview with one of the MBB for EM position, I don't think I would get it, but interested in learning more as I've always wanted to do management consulting. Junior partner at a specialist boutique consulting firm (compete w/ MBB primarily in our verticals) with prior experience in PE on both deals and ops side, and corp dev. My career here is pretty stable and money is good enough without killing myself (500k+ cash) but I miss being an investor vs an advisor. Is there any path back to GE/PE at this stage? My gut says no unless it's a firm where I have a client relationship and I get lucky but hard to broach the subject given dynamics. Any advice?

Got a MBB offer as a lateral. End goal is FAANG. Friends at MBB say placements out of their firms into FAANG is as rare as anywhere else. Truth to that statement? Don’t think it’s worth the reset if it’s still nearly impossible either way…TIA

Currently part of knowledge team working on M&A related projects within MBB (coming from Big Four consulting). Feel like the job description didn't actually match the role, doing mostly research-related tasks and have 0 client interation. Just received an offer for Accenture strat (M&A) group, with sizeable TC increase. Is the change worth it: client interaction + travel + involved fully in project?or is the "downgrade" to accenture too large to outway the benefits. Headhunters love MBB.

Anyone have any advice or insight on interviewing for a GS General Attorney position? I’m really excited and working to prepare for an interview I’ve been offered. I’m an immigration paralegal but I have an MA in human rights. I’ve been working at my org for 2 1/2 years but I don’t see an upwards growth for me unless I go to law school but that is really expensive and it’ll take a few years. I’ve tried to seek promotion to Senior paralegal but I’ve been told I don’t have enough experience. My company has given me a promotion without a raise. Any suggestions on how to deal with this? Little background: Asked for promotion in late 2020 - was required to skill up, after skilling up, asked again about when I'll be promoted and was denied because there is no "vacancy" for it. Got my annual hike in Oct 2021 without the promotion. I asked HR last week again and got a random announcement email saying my promotion is w.e.f Oct 2021. ( and no raise for the newly promoted role).

Leads are redirected to our website, which is optimized for self-service and conversion. After a day, unconverted leads are assigned to outbound SDR team. They’ll get around 750 leads per month, converting at a 5% conversion rate. Is this viable? Thanks for your input! 🙏

How long does it take for me to get fired if I keep being unassigned? My team got dissolved due to internal restructuring/regrouping and I am teamless now. Advice for a first year (coming up on second year) realizing I don’t like the practice group I was put into? Firm hired me for commercial finance and let’s me do some C&S work. I love the C&S work but find commercial finance incredibly boring. I don’t know that they would me let me switch practice groups entirely because commercial finance is super busy right now. I also like this firm so not necessarily looking to lateral. Any advice on what to do / how to approach it?
