Which role sets you up for better long-term career success:
1. AC role at ZS as a SIP generalist
2. C role at a boutique firm doing mostly launch strategy/support (20% higher TC, if that matters)
What areas of legal experience are most helpful to working in-house? Are there particular areas of law you’ve encountered that you wish you knew more about for your role?
I graduated in 2016, did a state court clerkship, and then was hired as a hearing officer. I’m looking to apply for an attorney advisor position but wonder if my lack of ‘traditional’ legal work will harm my chances. Thoughts?
I’m in final discussions with PwC for an SM2 role in tech consulting. What is a good TC to expect (base, bonus, sign in)
I recently went through an interview process for an investment banking role at a well respected mid market bank. I had two rounds of interviews, and the second round was with two VPs. All interviews went very well - conversation was great, and I got enthusiastic verbal feedback during and at the conclusion of each interview. It’s been three weeks and I have heard nothing, even after 2 follow ups to HR. I saw on LinkedIn they hired 2 people. I assume I got rejected - thoughts? What do I do next?
How to evaluate an offer at startup? 190k total base bonus and equity (roughly 80k). Non-tech position, 2.5 years out of college. Should i ask for higher base?
How would you approach your manager if you get a job offer with a higher pay elsewhere for a somewhat similar role?
Hi all, working for a start up for the first time after working for much, much larger staffing companies. I’m tasked with getting us a new ATS that has two hiring tracks: one for contract and direct hire. All external, agency staffing. Top choice so far is Avionte, curious if there are any others who have used them? Thoughts? If no thoughts, I’d love opinions on others (and I hate Bullhorn so we can skip that one!). Thanks I’m advance!
Which industry/role is currently and will be more in demand in future years?
Product manager in Marketing or Product Manager in Finance (finance would be a more tech related role)?

If I think there’s an Amazon role that really fits me but I can’t find the team, should I reach out to a recruiter in my network in hopes they can help me find the team who posted the job posting? Or should I look for an Amazon employee?
Job opportunity (mgr title, 4-6 yr exp needed) in Internal Audit (w/ data analytics exposure) at one of the largest private companies in Chicago. I interviewed with them (director and vp) till last round and decided to pursue a different opportunity. Great and caring people who seems to support what you wanna do at this position. Since it’s private there is a lot of room to create and build from the best practice. lmk if you are interested or know someone needs help. Thanks!
Considering an offer from Lewis Brisbois after not getting traction with other Am100 firms. Trying to make the jump into BigLaw from a small firm where I’m getting great commercial litigation experience working with and opposite BigLaw attorneys. I’m just looking for more money, better long-term career prospects, and job security (rainmaker is very near retirement age). Am I crazy? Any advice? Feel that I’ve put myself in a solid position experience wise. Don’t want to mess it up.
BCG US fishies!
If i applied to BCG China 1 year ago & got rejected, can i reapply now with a consultant's referral to the US (no resume improvements, just referral + applying to new geography)? Does BCG track applications globally & do they strictly require 2 years new experience for reapplicants? Would the consultant's referral make a difference in getting an interview 1 year post-rejection?
Hi fishes, can someone provide some insight what is expected in Salesforce Technical Consultant role interview at Salesforce? Is Data Structures and Algorithms also a part of the interview process?
Also posted on ADVERTISING BOWL: Anyone else tired of THIRD-PARTY COMPANIES (Creative Circle, Profiles, etc) stealing jobs from job boards and posting them as their own?
They're not authorized to do this, but they always start with "Creative Circle has partnered with XYZ Company to find their next Art Director"
The XYZ Company will NOT choose you if you are presented by Creative Circle, because they will have to pay them a finders fee. SO frustrating. Beware..it's always best to go direct.
Anyone struggle with an eating disorder? Mine was pretty bad early in college but I progressively got better, but now in my first business I notice some of those behaviors coming back😳

Any tips on negotiating my raise? I have a check-in with a partner this week where we will discuss my raise. I just finished my first year at a consulting firm with ~4K employees. The average raise from first to second year seems to be 6.5% but I really want to gun for 10%. I have good reviews and the best chargeability metrics in my starting class. How do I frame my target raise without sounding arrogant about my charge stats or tone deaf about the current environment?
I got an offer from TCS. In the ibegin portal I see the location is Hyderabad-JST-STP.

Does anyone have any advice as far as referencing a disability during the interview process? I have a speech disorder where I am sometimes (maybe a week out of the month) unable to communicate verbally at all. Should I bring this up because the interviewer can’t? Should I only bring it up if it becomes observable? Should I do my best to hide it until I’m hired?

Hi Folks, any insights on GTM roles? what would be the long term outlook / career growth? is it advisable to choose this path or stick with classic product management? did a quite an amount of classic product management in my career, have an option to choose GTM path, will this be any better in terms of growth or a dead end?
How to track insane amount of open items? I’m in back to back meetings about different issues on different projects. What’s the best approach? I find myself thinking about the previous issue into the next meeting.
I am a data scientist and I really want to transition into PM. I made the mistake of taking a job in tech as a DS after KPMG, and now have realized that actually my interest lies in PM work. How do I transition?
Anybody joining Goldman Sachs this month in Dallas office? Want to connect? #GoldmanSachs
How have you navigated periods when you’re acting more as a TPM than as a PM? Lots of time spent on reactive work recently without enough time to invest in product strategy and what’s coming next.
Has anyone ever interviewed for a PM role without a case study? I’m currently interviewing for a PM position at another company (3rd round) and haven’t seen one yet, so wondering if that’s a thing.
At our company we have a separated product development team, which is mainly managing external agencies. Our product management is focused on the business KPIs to drive subscriptions and without a connect to the development process.
Can anybody relate to such a structure?
I think it’s mostly really ineffective to have to many teams with small responsibilities. 🙈

What resource have you found to be the most helpful when on boarding new Product Managers?
Real Talk: everyone complains about how many apps they send in and how many interviews don’t pan out in product. I just landed my 2nd product role in 2 years with pretty minimal interviewing. I wasn’t interviewing with or looking for a role at a FAANG or the latest greatest almost unicorn but I know what I want. I don’t think I’m great at interviewing but overall (even outside of product) I’ve gotten offers with not that much work tbh. What’s your experience here?
Recently hopped from the business side onto a PM team. Does anyone have any good resources they would recommend on developing good PM skills like writing briefs, roadmapping, scoping, etc?
I just took over a SAAS product where I own P&L with 800 B2B clients with so much customization that it feels like 800 versions of the product. The product was acquired and there are a ton of process improvements needed, tribal knowledge and start up mentality. I have a PO who does the day to day work with the devs, but otherwise it’s just me. I’ve been a PM for 15 years and never felt so understaffed. I’d like to hear the level of responsibility you each have and how your team is structured.
Anyone willing to share experiences or advice on breaking into PM? Currently applying for Facebook’s RPM, which I know is extremely competitive.
A non-technical (but in the process of learning) 🐠
Currently a PM at MSFT, was wondering how common having an MBA is for PM @ FAANG/other companies
Our company went through an exercise of redefining product roles - from business analyst, product owner, product manager to assoc pm, pm, senior pm etc.
The concept is everyone with same skills - with different competency levels.
My question is - what about interest? I am energized by execution, not so much strategy. Is product management for me, or should I be looking at other career paths?
Note: I am not overly ambitious, but do want to have a good salary for my retirement savings😉
Any Facebook PMs willing to chat? I'm preparing for my onsite, have two xfn interviews and can't find much online about those. Thanks!

What kind of knowledge and experience do you have so far? Have you considered any certs or things like Udemy/Coursera for courses?
Udemy should have something much more affordable than that (in the hundreds). A lot of people do General Assembly or various things through Coursera but not sure the price ranges on all of them.
