Anyone looking to fill HR strat roles?
Hi all,
I received a verbal offer from Monitor Deloitte HR and now I see the status on portal has changed to "offer". How long before I get the formal offer letter in hand? I had interviewed with their Lifesciences Strategy practice in the UK. Been a week since I had a discussion with the HR. Haven't heard any update since.
Your guidance would help.
Thank you in advance 🙂
Whether you have an MBA only vs. MBA/MPH, the starting salary would likely be the same in consulting (assuming an equivalent amount of work experience). The same cannot be said of an MPH only vs. MBA/MPH
Following!
Didn’t open up much for me, my actual experience opened it up significantly more
No use! I have MBA too but only experience helps and not even decent pay as per market as joined during COVID and company took advantage and I had no choice other than join for lowest pay in the industry!
The job opportunities that would open up with the MPH are specific staffing and exit opps in more technical roles, and preference / less generic background than someone with only an MBA eg if you are targeting employers like BMGF, Gavi, MSF, etc. More likely than not it will not change career salary trajectory, but open up more interesting projects and more public/research roles.
If you really want to take advantage of the technical training probably you would need to focus on the quant PH disciplines - epi/stats etc. Feel free to DM
Having done both, don't think MPH can replace PhD in 95/100 cases.
It probably wouldn't get you edge over a PhD, but rather an edge over someone w more generic masters. Would *potentially* make you comparable to PhD (if they lack work experience but you do have YoE on them...) if you do sthg v data heavy w code and also publish on that for your MPH thesis.
