Anyone with experience in transferring NY CPA license to WA? Anything particular to be aware of? How long did the process take?

I haven’t done that specific transfer but have transferred licenses between a few other states and the process was pretty similar. Get a letter from former state board confirming your license being in good standing, get an employment / experience confirmation from current employer maybe provide some of academic history, fill out a few relatively painless forms, pay a fee and wait a couple months.

I hold dual licenses in both of those states. WA offers reciprocity because they similar requirements as NY. It was really easy. I only took 2-3 months in all, assuming no missed paperwork.

Had to do the big ethics exam when I switched because ny didn't require one, but that's not too bad.

If you use the pomodoro method for time focus and tracking, do you bill in those increments or just keep your billablr timer going the whole time? For example, I work in 25 minute increments for large projects then I get a break. Do I bill .5 for that increment and restart my billing or keep my billing continuously going thereby not rounding up for those 5 min? I have just kept my timer going.

Hey folks,
I have been interviewed by 'FEI System', USA. But the offer letter which I have received is from a different company, 'Husys Consulting' Hyderabad.
When I asked them the reason behind this, they told me that FEI System has no physical presence in India, so 'Husys Consulting' hire on behalf of FEI System to meet legal compliance.
From the offer letter, it looks like it is third-party hiring. Should I accept this offer?
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure of where to go after that, but I doubt I will stick with recruiting or my current firm.

Has anyone here started off in recruiting and branched out to other HR functions? Do you like your new role? Do you wish you stuck with recruiting?

Limited at my current firm due not having CPA. I want to take a few months off to take the exams and then re-enter the market seeking a manager role ( 6 years experience) at a mid to larger size firm. Does this sound like a good idea or should I find a manager role at a smaller firm that doesn't require CPA? Any other options I should be considering?
