A few things:
- highly dependent on what department you’re in. It is a historically an engineering led company that went most of its lifetime with only HR, engineering, customer support. A lot of the other departments are new and still establishing themselves.
- it’s been a remote company far before the pandemic. They have it figured out.
- pay is what you would expect for a tier 2/3 tech company. I’m very happy with it overall, and you get stock options in a company that is probably going public within the next year (even if they are inflated). People do actually take their vacations and sign off on the evenings/weekends. It is the best work life balance I have had since working in tech.
- culture is great and you’ll find everyone is kind. They really live people-first values for their employees and for their customers by really valuing their privacy.
Happy to answer any more specific questions.
Do you still work there? I am thinking about applying! Just checked out their website and the culture looks good!
I had 1Password for over 5 years, when it was just a forever license and you can integrate with dropbox for multiple computer sharing. The problem started when they introduce subscription license and the older product stop updating. Lot of things does not integrate seem less anymore, it is not cross platform such as linux or bsd. I switch to using lastpass, and from recent breach, I think I should be looking at something else as well.
I just use chrome as my password manager. It is a bit annoying to login mobile apps that you need to go to passwords.google.com but at least I feel google security is doing pretty good
